Wish I could say I came up with the horse mat idea, but they work great, and they are relatively cheap to purchase from Tractor Supply. Stops arrows fantastically.

Hanging the target is a great idea. I want one. Think I would add door springs at bottom to stop target swing.

I got them at Tractor Supply, and they were about 35.00 each, where I live.

Nice job on the backstop. The only thing i would do differently is i would use rope instead of chain for hanging the target. This way if u accidentally hit it with a arrow you won’t damage the arrow hitting the rope like you would the chain. Otherwise great job.

Thanks. The rope is a good idea. BTW, we have shot 100's of arrows and the horse mats are holding up great.
