In this video, I make toxic console and pc Rocket League players compete against each other to prove which platform is the best. Although they can't type to each other, things do get a little bit heated by the end.

As someone who started on console and moved to PC I've always thought you could make the argument that the console players in any given rank are better than PC players because they've reached their rank despite the lower frame and the higher input delay that comes with it. If you gave a console player a PC that gets 200+ fps and a few weeks to adjust almost guarantee they show a big improvement in rank.

true but at the same time the pc player whos in the same rank as the console player will usually have better mechanics due to the better fps and response time, or you could make the argument that granpah gamer made. so whether you think the console player is better, the pc player is better, or that theyre both equal, its very hard to know which of the 3 opinions is true

Yeah, I've switched to Xbox from pc and its easier to rank up on pc cause of workshop maps and less input, and PS4 controllers are (I think) have less input delay

@@shwamp33 one person might have more mechanical skill and another can have less mechanical skill so its about skill one person might have less skill maybe one had been in champ longer and another might have been a champ for a shorter amount of time that they have been a champ and also they dont have control when they have good days or bad days how is it their fault the most fair you can get is them being maybe a day or a week different time been champ you also one time play station won against pc and then pc won against play station pc had more mechanical skill or they just had more experience and when play station won they had more experience or mechanical skill you need to actually watch the video before you comment something you need to learn things bro it depends on skill not the same rank one person could be in bronze and one person could be in silver but the bronze could be better then the bronze goes to silver and the bronze is better

The hilarious thing is that people who are saying "don't put cross platform on" are actually saying their platform is WORSE. If you have cross platform on = Your team is guaranteed to have someone on your platform, and the opponents team is completely random. So on average, you actually have more people on your team that share your platform than the opponents. If you're losing more with it on, that means the team that is losing has more players on average of your platform than the other. So you're actually arguing against your platform.

As much as platform plays a role, so does the monitor/TV they play on. My old 60 inch, I was capped at D3. The day I got my 75 with better frame resolution and game mode, I powered straight to C3, and pushed into GC. The way the game felt was completely different.

On Playstation I only ever made it to gold 2, I then stopped playing rocket league for 2 years and reinstalled it on my PC, got ranked into Plat after 10 matches without any warmup, glad to see my experience represented lmao

It would kind of depend whether the mayority of players in each system has cross play enabled or disabled, if most players on one system have it disable, then it becomes a closed system and the skill gap may vary... The more players have it open, it becomes more of an open system and then the skill gap disappears

I like crossplay a lot, i play always with my friends, they have ps4 and i just have pc so this is one of the unique game we can play together and its very fun :D

Input delay I casually play on xbox and competitive on PC, it just feels sharper, dropped to silver 2 from gold 3 when playing on xbox, back up to gold 3 after playing on pc

Honestly As a person who plays regularly on an Xbox I tried to use a PS4 controller while at my friend's house and.... the difficulties 😬 1) the joysticks are wierdly placed 2) the gas and reverse thingys are so small [(L1 and L2) i think thats what they are called] 3).... idk

I think I’m a great example of this. I used to be a PS4 player at about plat 3, before I switched to an average pc. Within a week I instantly hit diamond 2, the highest I had ever been, and continued rising the ranks when I hit champ 1, about 1 and a half weeks after switching. Pc is just so much nicer and easier to improve with.

I never got why people looked down at those who used the “easier” method of doing anything. It only takes some thinking to realize that if it was theoretically “easier,” then it would force the player to reach even higher (more difficult) levels of play to reach their peak. Being one of the best Rocket League player in the world is just as complicated as being one of the best Football players: they are just completely different hardships.

one undeniable truth nobody can dispute is that console players are vastly more skilled with the controller than pc players for reasons that are obvious. I do think this might be equal to console players having easier time to learn mechanics and generally be more consistent. In the end, however, it's all about time and practice and in the top ranks the apparent differences are basically non existant.

@@reillyclark8886 I was diamond on Xbox. Had to switch to the switch for a while because my Xbox didn’t work. When I made the switch I felt almost no difference and I felt like I was arguably better in some areas. The skill gap between console and switch isn’t that much

0:26 Even I, a switch player say my own console is terrible at rl because I've faced up some switch players that have 5 hours of this game. Also there aren't that many high ranked switch players. It's like literally impossible to find a high rank switch comp game because there's not a lot of high rank switch players.
