Dips are a really great powerful tool to help develop the triceps and help arm extension. The major issue is that if you have your arm or shoulder in a poor posture you can be jamming the shoulder joint. Over time, this can lead to damage, or irritation of the shoulder joint.
When doing this exercise, it is also very important that you have a STABLE surface. In this video, this surface was less than ideal (Demo purposes) and an unsteady surface can slip and cause you to fall. Please make sure your safety and health are in order and that you have the right equipment.
