Another reason Jackson Holliday was sent down was to give him more reps at 2B. He's been a SS for most of his life but Gunnar is at that spot so they've been playing him at 2B and he's showing there is more to learn there. He had a throwing error just last night for the Tide on a play that should have been a GIDP. So, while there is likely some service tome manipulation, there are some legitimate reasons.

Good conversation with Smoltz. As a Rays fan, I like the idea that people are talking so much about the Orioles and Yankees. Means that the Rays float under the radar in an underdog role. Where they seem to excel most. Jays are also in the mix. Red Sox???

The money-ball, analytics philosophy is conducive to flying under the radar. How ironic though that the Rays didn't invest that same type of mindset and approach when it came to their stadium situation decades ago. If so, they'd probably be a better version of the current era of Braves and Astros.

@@Isaac-qe2inCannot argue against what you have stated here. The stadium issue should have been resolved years ago. On the field, they have done an amazing job considering their limited budget. And they have done everything the Astros and Braves have done except win any championships. Which is of course always the ultimate goal.

@@averypayne3279 Technically, Wander is on the inactive list until June 1. It sucks that the situation is in limbo. Reminds me of what happened with Trevor Bauer. Like anyone else, Wander deserves the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. The team needs to decide once and for all whether to reinstate him or else cut bait. The status quo is not a good look for either Wander or the organization.

The orioles will win the East. But not having Felix in the playoffs might cost them and gives me serious apprehension as an Os fan. I don’t think CK is enough. They will NEED to trade for someone to anchor the bullpen at the deadline

I'm an Orioles fan, and I think the Rangers and Astros should still be favored ahead of us. Their hitters are just next level. Experienced and clutch.

The Orioles are in such a unique position where their offense will only get better as the years go on. Who knows what their ceiling is, but I think it's fair to say if anyone can challenge the rangers offense it's them

Know wonder I don't watch this podcast. #1 Bradish was hurt before they got Burns. #2 Holliday is not ready yet. He's new to second base. He made an error in his first AAA game last night. He strikes out against lefties too much. You have to bring these guys up slow. They are too valuable. I'm 67. I've seen too many can't miss prospects, miss because they were brought up too soon. I was disappointed also. But it's for the best

No Jackson is ready and everyone knows it. He also smashed a HR his first at bat last night, against a lefty. Mateo also made an error for the Os yesterday that costed them 2 runs. Jackson was more ready than other prospects that did start opening day. It’s about control, which is why he’ll be up soon. Not because Elias really thinks he needs more time at 2nd base. Everyone knows this.
