Are you getting SCAMMED by Upgrading to the Executive Membership at Costco?! | Employee Explains! 

So what I meant is that if you have two months left in your membership and you decide to upgrade to the executive, you'd pay $120 and you would be set for 14 months until your next membership renewal, but you get a full 12 months worth of rewards; That's because the 2% rewards checks get sent out 2 months before your renewal. So the FIRST year of being an executive you're only getting 2% back on 10 months. Using the example you gave, your membership would still be valid until July 2025, and you'd get your Rewards check in May 2025. I feel like I could have explained it better in my video, I'm sorry about that. And if you have any further questions please let me know

For real! This is one of my pet peeves! Like we should have something for our members that already have it! I understand the incentive for new people, but also , not everyone gets a gift when they sign up. I've actually brought this up with management but they probably won't do anything 😔

Hey! Thank you for the update! That's really interesting!! I wonder if they'll be installed later at those inner city locations or if they think it'll be too risky and will keep them without self check out.

@@CostcoDude Honestly, I think it's too risky at some locations where the crime rate is higher than in the more urban/suburban areas. They probably look into stats before they consider self checkout for a location.

I don't understand your statement

I totally get that tbh, but I will say that the company does a good job in everything other companies with millionaire ceos usually fail at. The workers get lots of benefits, there are several unionized Costcos so those buildings get crazy good benefits and the Costcos not unionized want to prevent that, but instead of silencing workers they provide lots of benefits and good pay to try and remove the need for a union at all. An open door and anti retaliation policy that actually means something, monthly safety meetings where your voice can actually be heard. Of course there are faults and issues within any company, and having a CEO that makes millions while workers make far less isn't perfect, but it's definitely one of the better companies out there. Supporting small business is always the ideal, but it's not affordable for many people, plus a lot of small businesses actually utilize Costco as well

Your mean you never got your rewards check or was the check not enough??

You should go to the membership desk and let them know! If you upgraded and have been an executive member for over a year you should have gotten a check. If you didn't, let Membership know and they'll look into how much that check is and they'll reissue it for you. From there you can decide if you wanna stay with the executive or if it's better to downgrade :)

@@CostcoDude okay I'll do that we go once a week for food and stuff but I also get gas like three times a week depending on how much I travel that week so I know we are spending the money .
