Very interesting to see this attraction 5 years later. I went in August of 2016 shortly after it opened. A lot has changed , many more exhibits! The ark looks totally different on the outside now the wood has weathered. It was much lighter when I was there. Thanks for taking us along Jacob!
Also was anyone else mad impressed by every single one of those debaucherous miniature scenes and fantastic primordial animal sculptures? They are so well done kudos to whomever the artists were.
I just wanted to say I live in UK, and always from a kid would loved of seen the sights of where you travelled but know it will never happen , but your channel has brought so much joy and I feel I've been thier seeing stuff I will never see in my life time, so I grateful of what you do , God bless you and thank you in bringing usa sights into my home . I think the criticism on Ark children’s books is a little hypocritical when they have a gift shop with cute stuffed animals and a portion of the exhibit that was meant to be light scary fun. I think those books are fine. When I was little, I got a child’s bible. It was so nice to read over and over.
@@TigerMystic10000 true I mean won't kids get confused about the fact that there were dinosaurs on the ark when they will learn that dinosaurs went extinct before man came (Or in this case before Adam and Eve at the fruit which I thought was an apple not grapes.) But still it would be something fun to do.
I think they just do it because they want children to learn the right way. Like to understand why it happened. This is where parents are supposed to be teaching their children the bible.. They want parents to teach what sins are and to understand how to keep away from it. Because there are punishments for them.
Pseudoscience galore! I shall hold my tongue because if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything. Thank you for being respectful of all beliefs, Jacob. Looks like an interesting place for sure. They require all employees to sign something indicating their belief in Young Earth/Genesis creation/flood narrative. Cool beans!
Man, I would love to do what you do, traveling all over and learning from all these cool museums. Can you make a video explaining how and why you started doing this?

I live about 20 min from this place. I’ve been 1 time. It was crazy because on that day Ozzie Osborne & his son Jack were there filming a show. Not sure what the show was called & never saw a episode or heard anything about what channel it was for. Anyway It blew my mind to go visit the Ark & see the Prince Of Darkness there. Haha.
Thank you Carpetbagger for this video. I was actually considering going to this attraction, but you have given me a good tour. I find it amazing how some of this was interpreted. You saved me some money.
I must admit I did start to watch this thinking “let’s see some bad looking paper mache stagnant dinos” and by the middle of the video, I’m just impressed with the Disney-park quality 😵
62 million from the city, another 32 millions from donations. You should look into what a problem that place has been for that poor city. No good deed....
@@ElSlabo the whole place is a travesty to be honest. It goes against everything it’s trying to teach (which I don’t believe in), but if you’re going to preach it, then why is it all about the money? The Ark is a big money making scam. However, with that being said, I do have to admit, it was designed and built quite well.
Have you ever been to Disney? If so, then you must be blind…if not, then I suggest staying on top of your yearly optometrist appointments, as your eyes appear to be suffering a malady of some sort.
I was expecting corpses in the gift shop, everybody dies you know, instead there's "cutsie wootsie" animals for sale, the same ones that are decried and detested in the section on kids books about the Ark. I want that possum stuffy. Thanks Carpetbagger.
you may have missed the point ..... the point of the 'kids book section' was that it left out the story of sin, and why the flood happened.(and why we all need the gift jesus offers us of forgiveness) ... the ark exhibit tells the full story of the flood, so its cutsie wootsies aren't missing the explanation of sin
@@Sir...... I believe that the ark story should be kept just as it is. A folk tale of sorts. If you remove the sin and the religion from it, you have a great story of positive morale, which is great for children and adults. It’s when you attach an agenda to the story that it becomes almost terrifying and loaded with malice and destruction. I say, leave it as “cute” for the kids. There’s no harm in that.
@@CelticShadow75?? There's no agenda, there's the truth and whole story 🤔 .... but leaving out the full story and details = that's creating an 'agenda'
@@Sir...... ok but where exactly is the original full story? Locked away in a vault somewhere under Vatican City? It’s not God that can’t be trusted....it’s man.
I visited the Ark Encounter last year. This place is amazing. The one thing I am most impressed with was how nice the landscaping is. All of the tropical plants are beautiful. They must have lots of landscapers on the staff. I would love to go back some day.
I can appreciate how you were respectful during your tour since you aren't presenting scientific facts. However, being a local resident near this 'Encounter", and knowing that local schools send children there on field trips, I find this monstrosity to be an abomination. Ken Hamm, the lunatic who built this, conned Kentucky taxpayers into paying for part of it. Most people in this area consider Ark Encounter to be a humiliating reminder that pseudo-Christians need some education.
I’m very sorry to hear that school groups are sent there 😞 I heard they also will only hire Protestant Xtians to work there, which seems discriminatory. Catholics and Jews have this story too after all.
@@ilanarhian Yeah, but educated Catholics and Jews realise the story is a fable, and not to be taken literally. It's only zany American Evangelicals who have decided this fable literally happened in reality.
Right? This entire thing is a shameful house of brainwashing and indoctrination. It's child abuse to take kids here; like walking them through a reeducation camp.
Carpetbagger, So glad to see you back. Looking forward to hear your reaction to the re opening of California and what that will mean for 'Hollerin Halloween' This year.
I want to go here sometime. A few friends of mine went a couple of years ago. I couldn't go at that point because I didn't have the money to go. I do plan on going next time I go up to see my unlce. I wish more people were like you about stuff like that.
The crab-eating fox (Cerdocyon thous), also known as the forest fox, wood fox, bushdog (not to be confused with the bush dog) or maikong, is an extant species of medium-sized canid endemic to the central part of South America, and which appeared during the Pliocene epoch. Like South American foxes, which are in the genus Lycalopex, it is not closely related to true foxes.
@Sinner saved by Grace The world has existed for billions of years not millions or 3000 years. The book you believe in is mostly fiction and a lot of it was taken from other religions that existed at that time before they were forced to convert to Christianity.
Sinner saved by Grace Oh my god! The most ridiculous of all organized religions!!!! Young Earth Christians. Wow they actually exist!!!!!! Only in America I swear to your god
@Poptarrtz there is no such thing as “different era dinosaurs” the earth is young, only 6000 years old, the flood of Noah was about 4500 years ago. The lies of evolution tell you, and sadly every kid in public school, that there was a mezzezoic, Paleozoic, blah blah blah but it’s all just made up lies. God Created all creation in just 6 literal days and dinosaurs lived with people. There were actual dinosaurs on the ark of Noah. A modern day Crocodile 🐊 is really a dinosaur. No such thing as millions of years and fossils didn’t get made under millions of years and immense pressure. In fact the Bible said the water came from above and under the earth when the fountains of deep gave up the water! Mass lightning 🌩 and huge waves crushed the animals and people and they were buried very quickly. That is why the fossils look the way they do. Electrocution and pressure made them the way they are. Gods word the Bible is true and eternal. I encourage you to read it, and know that Jesus loves you and died on the cross for you! John 3:16, Romans 10:9;10, open your heart to receive Christ into your life, He will give you eternal life and make you a child of the kingdom! You will be a new creation and have a new heart! God bless you!
@@Pistolpete147 Hi, Petra. I am a Christian too, and I am here to inform you that quite a few, if not the majority of Christians have accepted evolution for decades by this point. Nowadays, most of us have accepted evolution as a work of God like the plagues or Jesus. Keep in mind that even the original version of the bible was written by one of the disciples, not Jesus. We need to remember to see the world as well as the bible. You're ignoring the progress of the world to focus on events told 2000 years ago that could have gotten muddled up over time. It's up to us to know where to blur the line between science and the modern and past bibles. Both have truth in them, and someone needs to forge a new bible that involves the additional information we've collected over time since its conception.
@@tjmccullen2040 with all due respect, I disagree. The Bible is the inspired, God breathed, inherent word of God in its entirety. Written by 40 authors, all Holy Spirit inspired, and it contains 66 books, written over 1500 years. God created the world in 6 literal days, and rested on the 7th. There is no reason to see any “blurred” lines, for when Christ came into our hearts, the blur was made clear! Amen! I’m assuming you are born again, not just saying you’re a Christian because you were inoculated at a young age in a catholic or Christian private school, but that you had a real experience of coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus. He died for our sins on Calvarys cross, and rose again and descended to heaven, seated at the fathers right hand to intercede on our behalf. Praise God it feels good to be a blood bought child of the Kinsman redeemer amen! But I don’t and will not believe in a evolution as you point out. That is from the world. It’s carnal thinking. We must take the word of God on faith and know He inspired every word in that precious book! No super computer could ever put it together! Only GOD almighty can do that! Please don’t minimize what a holy eternal God has done and believe it to be as He has written it to Be! God bless you!
@@Pistolpete147 Eh, agree to disagree. Whatever the case, we still believe in God all the same, even if we have different thoughts on the individual details. I know you will probably go to heaven, as will I, even if we aren't on the same page about some things. It is just as fine to trust only to trust the source material as trying to better understand it using what you've learned. To be honest, I would love to contact you to see just how diverse we are, despite both worshiping the same one God. Might I ask for a Gmail address?
Yeah although there was some minor shrink wrapping they were overall decent reconstructions. Though as cool as a concept of a gladiator fight with a carnotaurus is they sadly died millions of years before we could witness them. That fall of man stuff could make for some very compelling fiction. Giants fighting dinosaurs in an arena and a golden snake god. There could be a real good plot there if done correctly. I'd buy it if it were a comic book or graphic novel

The building is quite impressive, but to suggest dinosaurs and 2 of every animal fit on a vessel like this made by someone who had never built a ship in his life is laughable.
To godless people yes, but once you become saved and you put your faith in God and start praying, reading his word, etc, your desire for worldly, wicked pleasures decreases. You eventually get to the point where it replusles you. God satisfies you, he quenches your thirst, you long for virtuous things. But the Devil is smart and cunning, he comes to you like a thief in the night and tempts you, he twists things around so you get confused. If you stay near to God he will stay near to you. Nothing on this earth can compare to the love he has for each and everyone of us. We just have to choose him, it is our choice, he gave us free will to do what we want, but sadly most people don't choose him, they choose themselves and sin.
Where's the planetary water on Mars that were once great oceans forming the now dry basins? Where does the remaining frozen liquid go when the ice caps shrink every year and then grow again? Fair questions. Not confirming or denying religious doctrine, but still fair comparitive questions.
It's very believable if you aren't easily persuaded by others and examine the science. Who said the water had to drain somewhere? The water is all around, friend. Look at a globe, were covered in it
@@bythegods5683 I can agree with that statement I've just been seeing dozens and dozens of people saying b.d this and b.s that and it's kind of annoying. The ark encounter is meticulously accurate and shows every detail of how everything would work, including the feces issue.

Okay, how did they decide there were 85 species of dinosaurs in the ark? Not just the idea there were dinosaurs, but that very specific number. Why not 70? Why not 100? How did they reach that very specific number? Also, dinosaurs in gladiator arenas. Hah! Take that, Spielberg. This really is comedy gold. Thanks for sharing.
Maybe they arnt inconsistencies, maybe your perception is flawed and you misunderstand. Times were different back then, the laws were different back then, God does things that we will never understand, that doesn't make it wrong or hypocritical, we just don't have the capacity to fully understand God. But let me assure you, everything he does is perfect, his timing is perfect, there is no flaw in our creator.

Shem, Ham, and Japheth were Noah's sons. The rainbow on the arch is not to celebrate or represent the LGBTQIA. It is to take back the rainbow to what it was before.
It is there to represent God's promise. You know we just had a miracle in our church, and the pastor said he saw the rainbow over the land next to our church one recent evening.
