With ferals it's because they're feral and ferals can't help but behave like a feral. With street racers it's because they literally think they have a chance. Other's are riding dirty and are trying break sight lines to toss stuff. Some motorcyclists are the "drop a gear and disappear" types. Those seem to be the common themes for running.

Drugs and alcohol make you unreasonable and irrational. I wrecked my car one night after I had too much to drink and right as the police were riding by going the opposite direction, I had fleeing on my brain, but luckily I totaled my car so bad that it was inoperable. Totaling my car and the DUI were bad enough, but ironically the wreck saved me from a felony.

Cause they think they're going to be the one of the few that get away
