ARMS is a fighting sports game developed by Nintendo that uses extendable arms for battle. It's similar to boxing in that the player strikes their opponents with their fists but, the ARMS stretch to reach the opponent across the stage. ARMS can be played on split-screens, online or with Switch vs Switch.
ARMS fighters all dream of the same thing: winning the championship belt in the legendary ARMS Grand Prix. Win 10 matches in a row to claim your place in ARMS history! There are 7 levels of difficulty in the Grand Prix-can you make it to the top?

Arms gets too much freaking hate. Sure the gameplay is repetitive and gets old very quickly, but the world building, characters and lore were incredible and made you want to be part of it.

Dang, imagine getting ready to fight your dad, not only as a Right of Passage but just to get some bonding time in as father and son, only to have your mom go batshit crazy, steal the Glory, knock your dad into whats essentially the Empire State Building, and fight you, then to only go even more insane and Equip an unstable super weapon to fight you, her son with.

@@IERServer actually, its hinted at that this may be canon, Springman and Coyle share similar tropes in design such as these two being the only characters who's hair and eyes are the same exact color. And if you dig around in the art gallery, there's a masculine figure who shares design aspects of both Max Brass and Springman, who just so happens to be with the ARMS Leagues.

It is technical and certainly fun to watch, but... it lacks more immersion, I mean gameplay-wise. That's the main reason it didn't take off that much as it could have, as many stated.

The only thing that makes me wow is that in every character introduction a female voice says the names of the hole roster except Dr.Coyle because she says her name in her own voice and when the camera zooms to her face is kinda of a neat character introduction and creepy at the same time for the players who didin't play granprix mode dificulty 6 and 7

What can I say except that this could age well? At first I preferred Helix to be the next Smash character, but by having seen Dr Coyle in this video made me prefer her over Helix because she has more moveset potential, she's a female, she's a villain boss and she could have a decent Final Smash using Hedlok and rushing on every other fighter, apart from the variety of special moves she could get. I really hope she's the new fighter.

Y’know in a lore stand point. Dr Coyle subjected herself to painful experiments just to finally be able to have the ARMS mutation and just for her to lose? You could see her frustration as she had endured pain for nothing. She wanted to just rub it in max brasses face because of the words he said to her. The ARMS game doesn't get the love it deserves especially lola pop and springtron they are overpowered characters but everybody overlooks them

Tbh, when I first gone against Dr coyle, she was a huge pain. I was so frustrated with her headloked state. But with the brrchuck and revolver, she was a walk in the park.

Yea. Tbh, the brrchuck and revolver combined is broken. You can actually break the shield in one rush attack and still do a good bit of damage.
