I like the look on this RC and I can see what they had in mind when making it, but it didnt translate from their idea to reality very well, You have brought their ideas into a better place then they did. Its just not where it needs to be "out of the box" for the 750$ price point. Great Videos and I am learning alot each time I watch one your vids. 👍👍
Earl Great Video. I use thin CA glue on metal to plastic once it dries it will stay put. It will act just like lock tight on metal to metal. Be. sure to only use a small drop and avoid getting it on the contact side of the head of the screw. I use a fine toss away tip on the ca glue for precise placement. .17 runs no loose hardware so far however my bearings are getting "crunchy "and I will need to replace them soon. Thanks for sharing👍
G'day Earl greetings from Australia. I just bought a Fireteam still waiting for it to arrive appreciate your candour with this RC. I upgraded the radio gear to a spektrum DX5 Rugged as I thought the original radio gear was pretty average for an RC that is north of IK down here. All in all not bad for an RTR I reckon.
Looks much better. 10:07 that was my thought, too, that middle jump looks like about the realistic max you want to be running that RC on. Still think it’s a great off-road drift car with the potential for doing some small jumps
I dabbed the bottom holes with a hot glue gun! So far no screws loose. I had 3 come out on the very 1st run. Was also thinking about trying (no set/blue or white) pipe dope. If the screws still come out-will basically tell you they are pulling out & not vibrating out. Just a thought. Again the hot glue has been working so far. I bash pretty hard!
Like the videos earl.Really enjoy watching you work on the rc's. Are you planning on installing any lights on the fireteam. I would like to install some on mine but don't know which lights would work and arrma don't have any yet. Keep up the great videos.
Really nice bash session E… been following the vids you’ve done with this machine and your tweeks to the the RC have definitely paid dividends…. Also…. I’m curious to why I’ve never seen you use one of those chassis protectors that protect your electronics so debris doesn’t foul your fans etc….mayb a heat issue??? Again thanks for sharing Earl Always enjoy ur work on ur channel….. I’m out ☮️💯👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Quick question for you Earl, does all Arrma's have that hole on the bottom of the chassis exposing the pinion gear? wouldn't that allow for rocks to go in and prematurely wear stuff out quicker or potentially break something? Thanks for the awesome videos.
Drill lil hole and zip tie through top wire holder so wires don't go into the motor . Me too mostly about the chassis but they do wear out if you used this. firestorm everyday. At end of the day you get performance out new chassis because your going build from scratch unless you do just swap the chassis I watched guy using a towel as cradle making it pretty simple lol I forget the name of the guys channel obviously not your favorite rc 😆 if were you swap the chassis eventually for 15 bucks the bashing ones 50 .. use the arrmas what they for or build them to what u want , it will wear out fast in the desert 🏜 but be fun 😉 traxxas does last longer but you sacrifice the performance. I don't like the slop either and losi s you don't get that.. but who wants to thrash a losi 😆
You bash like me. Have fun but not trying to land on the moon. Lol. I am starting to see what rc guy was talking about when he mentioned you. Smart driving. I'm not a fan of the price point of that veichle. But each to there own. A car for every different flavor. 👍😎
Left my truck stock in the winter but I don't get alot of bad landing with it and did check the diff and I think 100k is good you just got to send it it will be fine.
@@earlmoorhead5555 that fan is cheap they put on there believe me I send mine in solid ice and hard snow haven't broke nothing yet but a barring on the same side you did
That's not a Bash Earl thats a bath would like to see more on this truck being Arrma made us believe was the Best Basher on the market .Yet it Burnt servos out the ass the bearings shot out had countless other flaws why it sold at one point for 399.00 # We Got Beat Trucks only good if you Mod it few hundred dollars more .
Shove a piece of zip tie into the plastic holes to save yourself from buying the part the screw goes into. It actually works quite well and have even used the technique on my Outcast 8s so i can assure you it holds up. The screws will come out again if you just buy the same plastic part so snipping a piece of zip tie to shove in a hole will save you some money. If a screw pulls out enough, i just buy the aluminum part instead as long as it isnt a suspension part like an arm or a hub. I do on occasion buy a aluminum hub, but not an arm. Bulkheads and diff cases and transmissions, etc ill buy in aluminum. If i were to guess, i think your screw is out of the esc mount. M2C makes esc mounts for the 6s line and if i break an Arrma esc mount, ill buy one myself. Ive only got one "6s" Arrma but its got an MMX 8s combo in it so it isnt really a 6s anymore. I wouldnt run it on 8s so i guess you can still call it a 6s Arrma Kraton EXB. I dont have luck with Arrma as any i take out for a run breaks before the pack is used up.
