Hey everyone, i hope you are well! In today's video i finally take out the Stealthon 4s to see what shes got! If you enjoy the video then please hit the subscribe button :)
Brother this is an absolute monster I have myself a 4s typhon as well 80mph no problem bro I'm excited to see this run I also run a 26t it's a monster on 4s Congrats again glad to see this build !!
Just finally found one in stock online and ordered it. I love what you've done, though I don't have expertise to upgrade all this. But I may give it ago.
I’ve been debating wether to get the Typhon 3s for some time after seeing yours I now have no choice. That thing looks mental especially with the hoons. Top job looking forward to the 26 tooth pinion run. 👍🏻
Very nice job. I like that you went with the Spectrum system and provided all the information to take the Typhon 3s to a higher level. Super upgrade! 🏆
Thank you Speedskyo!!! Oh I bet she loves it in Pink! It does look really nice in black, are you going to spray a new clear body or the outside of original body?
@@FunTimezRC I stripped the paint from the inside and sprayed it pink leaving the decals in place. I’m doing a black one for one of my Frankenstein cars. Put a new Traxxas 3s vxl in a 3s senton and put all Traxxas links with metal ball ends in the front end. No wheel slop now. I think the senton body is to big and runs on any aftermarket tires. I have 2 more cars to fix the 3s Arrma steering slop. It completely fixes the issue. Thanks xx for the comment!
Hi Pauly great work on the Stealthon. Beauty. I bought the Typhon 3S V3 and need your advice. You lowered yours for road mastery. But I jump mine so would like a shock upgrade to reduce chassis-slap landings. I added a stack of spacers which helped but you might know a good set of shocks more suitable for when I SEND IT. Thanks 👍🏻
Hi Jim thanks and glad you like it! I totally understand the body slap when bashing... I have heard that the Typhon 6s shocks do the job nicely they go straight on with a couple small modifications. Your best bet is to search on RU-vid for a tutorial on fitting them on. Best of luck and happy bashing 😁👍
Hey, well done dude 👍 is the combo you r using the same as the 6s typhon? Does the car come with swey bars? Like can I get the brushed version and convert it to that? Thank you in advance
Hey Ramcedes! No this is not the 6s combo... its is the 4s version if you like. With the gearing and how light the 3s version is its a absolute rocket. Yes I should imagine that should not be a problem. However I would maybe look into the diffs of the brushed version as I am not sure if they are the same as the 3s brushless diffs or not. your welcome and really sorry for the late reply! 👍
Is there any additional things that you need to add to the car in order for it to run perfectly on 4S? I plan on doing the same thing with the same motor and same ESC I just want to know what other steps I need to take in order to complete it.
I have the blx 120 system in and it all works perfectly. The car stock comes with the blx 100 system and if you run that one 4s i recommend adding a motor fan for cooling if you can. Apart from that all good. Oh also might want to change the diff oil out
Hey RLine... I'm really sorry for the late reply! Thank you and it's the eTronix Waterproof Metal Gear Servo - 21.8Kg - 0.16s I will make a list of all upgrades in the next Stealthon video description :)
Amazing job on this brother. My question is how did you manage to get the suspension so low? The Typhon 3s doesn’t come with droop screws. Thanks in advance. Again yours looks and performs amazingly
I am thinking about doing the same upgrade you have! How are your temps? Also do you just do speed runs only or do you bash as well with your 4s Typhon? Last question did you use a Arrma KRATON 4x4 4s BLX - Brushless BLX120 ESC Speed Control outcast ARA102690 and a ARRMA KRATON 4X4 4S BLX - MOTOR (BRUSHLESS 2400KV 3668 4-POLE OUTCAST ARA102690??
Hi Uplift! Sorry for the late reply. Temps are good... I was only doing speed runs but going to put 20t pinion back in, original offload wheels are back on and eventually get some bigger shocks put on as I want to take it back to being a basher again... Motor is the: ARA390265 and ESC is the: AR390264
Love the buggy bro!!! Did you upgrade to the BLX120 ESC and upgrade your Diff to the Hot Racing one? The first thing I did to my Typhon 3s is add the BLX120 ESC and did the Cheap Revo trick on my diff. And put a set of Hoons on it!!! And I changed the pinion and it picked up 17mph. And just with those couple of upgrades the buggy is a monster now and is so much fun! What all upgrades did you do to your 3s???
Sweet 👍. How is it these 4 years later ? Thanks . I always wanted a typhon but seem to gravitate towards the trucks . Still , one day I d like tot ray a buggy.
You should just bump it to 6s considering the chassis is close to a 1/8th anyway. I. Noticed the big rock and senton and typhon do alot better on 6s for racing 4s is really good to and 3s is ok. But if you want speed n power 6s with the right Gearing for the terrain your running it's a absolute beast.. I done it to my big rock and it's absolutely amazing
Hey Ray... no I just purchased upgraded lower aftermarket shocks off ebay from the US plus it has the hoons on which is a smaller diameter tyre than the originals... hope this helps mate 👍
@@FunTimezRC i have thos same exact ebay shocks but cant drop my car lower? If i raise the shock collar all the way up it makes it droop. Is that what you do?
I have a Typhon 3s. but i put a blx 185amp and a 4074 2050kv motor. i keep bowing out the motor mount plate. i need to make a mount for the back of the motor.
Thank you. EBay, just type in search bar 'Typhon 3s Socks' and you should see them. If you need a link just add me on Instagram and I will send you it 👍
Hi Philip, I have not to be honest... Had no problems so far but apparently the new 3s Typhon version has better diffs. So when I need to I will put those diffs in. Good tip though mate! 👍
not in this system no as its not rated for that size battery.... my bro has the 6s Typhon and to be honest there is not really a difference between them on a drag race. I wouldn't want to push it anymore than 6s 👍
I personally dont see why you ever need more than 2s with a Typhon. I use 3s but i never run it on more than 50% and i have plenty of fun and less accidents and damages.
Yes absolutely yes but But deans No absolutely not for 14 volts. Pls do not continue to overwhelm the plug and possibly fry your system. The car is to beautiful. / Gnarley build man. ❤️👊😀
Thank you send & blast! So you advise to loose the deans... I agree! Just can't understand why they would manufacture the 14v battery with a deans on? Glad you like it and thank you for the advise 😁👍🙏
Fun Timez RC I do not know either because the voltage rating for a deans plug is 7ish volts to 11 absolute max. The actual power rating is probably around 7 volts. I gotta look into it now. I can’t remember the actual rating As it is good to know . 👊🤩
Fun Timez RC Found some info bud. Some deans are tin coated copper contacts. some differ But the max rating is 25 continuous amps draw rating. Any higher amp draw will inevitably do damage down the line. Happy bashing or racing bro. 👊😀
Omfg do they have a metal chassi for the model for 3s lines cuz my pin slot is dead beat cracked and I don't want a plastic chassi so I'm thinking of using a metal chassi but it's gonna change the whole damn lay out and there would be me buying more parts I don't even need bruh at this point I should buy a different Truggy then continuing this model cuz the chassi sucks compared to the tune Model or even other models of truggys have the pin slots not as one with the chassi cuz that's BS 🗿
