3:01 My mom use to go to their competition across the street. What can I say , We were poor and were a big famil, 7 kids. My mom use to buy 2 shopping bags of donuts and walk with us across Humboldt Park to our neighborhood. 14 blocks east. In the 1960's many of us had just 1 car and pop worked long hours. Roeser was for special occasions, like Birthdays
Wow.. I just had a blast from the past seeing that machine that wraps the string around the box. I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid in the 1950s. I would love to visit Roeser's. Most bakeries seem to have morphed into departments in the supermarket.
How about I just assumed it was a Latino owned bakery because of the neighborhood 🤦🏽♀️🤣 I worked around the corner from there. I knew about this place all the way from the Southside, so you know it's popular. Someone, please bring me some sweet treats. 🙏🏽🥰🙏🏽🥰🙏🏽
I loved them but of all the things they could have ruined they chose my wedding cake. It was so dry and flavorless...they also managed to spell our name wrong on it.
