Asgard's Wrath 2 | Review | Quest 3 - Epic...but not Amazing. 

What didn't you like about it, and how far did you get?

@@LARVideos Here's my Oculus store review: Let me just say, this game is BIG! It tries to do many, many things. Let me also say, like any review, that this is just my opinion. I am thoroughly enjoying Assassin's Creed, and I feel like they nailed their control scheme. This game? You're able to do more than in Assassin's Creed, and I can say the combat has more freedom than Assassin's Creed's, but there's an onslaught of strange symbolism, such as a CONSTANT Eye of Horus (all-seeing eye) everywhere you look as waypoints. You're chasing an ankh, which claims to be a symbol of life (understandable, the theme is Egyptian mythology). The first character I encounter is a rebellious thief (such a new concept!), and I'm asked, by 3 creepy "faits" characters talking in each ear, that I am to "possess" him, which makes me feel more like a "demon" than a "God." And I'm assuming the other "mortals" you possess later are equally doomed sinners you're trying to "save" and "help out." But so was the course with part 1 (which, by the way, I hear you get part 1 along with this game if you have the PC for it). You eventually start solving puzzles where you jump out of the guy's body into a "God form" to solve puzzles, and once I jump back into the mortal's body, looking back to see your "God form" as a HUGE all-seeing eye staring down at you, my soul almost left my body, it freaked me out! I am TERRIFYING! The combat is better than Assassin's Creed, and that much more gory, as you can chop their limbs off, all while screaming at you in agony, once again making me question who the true bad guy is here (I feel like it's me pretending to be a "God?"). We eventually arrive at a home, where the God Horus tells you a story about losing both his eyes, yet he can still supernaturally "see" you wherever you walk... Creepy, but cool. Anyway, while telling you his story, we return to us standing there, with a now tiny, dwarf-like guy, his awkwardness akin to the weird Olaf dude from Frozen, making awkward comments, and stealing any thunder Horus's emotional story could have held (and the same creepy vibe Olaf gave me as well). Anyway, this dwarf dude puts off that weird "drag-queen" vibe to him, judging by him putting his hand on his hip, and swiveling his head like a sassy "girlfriend" when he talks. Anyway, creepy, awkward vibe from that guy, and am anything but inclined to do his missions if it means staying away from that creepy dude... I know he's there to further that agenda for "diversity" sake, but come on man, too much is too much... It's cringe and forced! There's also a Goddess character that sneaks into your sleeping quarters, asking you to complete missions to help her, yet she slams her staff into the ground, rudely launching you back if you approach to speak to her, so her rudeness discourages me wanting to help her as well... That's just her demeanor, I guess. So, not a lot of redeemable characters that feel like "good guys" that I'd actually care about, or "want" to help... But what should I expect? The Gods of these stories were selfish jerks, right? Makes sense... Anyway, I'll add to this review if I progress further, but this game is SO BIG that it's taking up all my storage, and have since had to delete it to free my headset back up for games I want to play. The game felt wrong/evil almost...? I dunno... Pushing quite a few not-so-subtle agendas I was picking up on too, interesting that this was the game they wanted everyone playing this Christmas season... But I didn't feel this way with the PCVR version though, it's strange... (Try that one out on the Oculus app if your PC can run it!) And yes, a VERY unpopular opinion, but unfortunately one that I feel strongly, and it's keeping me from enjoying this game, and a lot that takes me out of the experience in jarring ways, but Im just being honest. I hear theres HUNDREDS of hours of content, but I'm a father to a 6 month old, and my time is precious when I can play, so I like my fast-paced action. Just cant get into this game's mechanics, yet I love, love LOVE Assassin's Creed! Now THAT game is incredible! If you're anything like me, check that one out too! Sorry to the folks that worked long and hard to develop this, you did GREAT! If anything, this is an issue on the writer's end that got... Unbelievably weird. It just felt wrong. @@NPCMii, I know what you mean, but if the game is this good, it'll probably get a visual makeover sooner or later, is not an indie game. Is going to be a win win then. Visual fidelity boosts immersion by 300%

Ha ha, i get where your coming from and my final score ultimately reflects fun factor over everything else and I just found myself getting a little annoyed with the game loop. Now, as far as your question goes, that's tough. Some games do what they do better than this though are ultimately much smaller in scope like Moss book 2 or the last clockwinder. I'm not saying either of those is a 10 but I never got tired of either game before I finished them. Aw2 can just feel like work at times. Immersion is also a huge factor vr games for myself and the lower quality textures really did hamper that in Aw2. I totally get why someone would give this a 10...I've just played more engaging vr games other than this is all. Still a great game!

10's don't exist anyway in my opinion, there's always room for improvement no matter how good/much fun a game is to the player. It's subjective AF

I would say Gran Turismo 7 with my racing rig is the closest 10 I have yet played with RE 4 Remake not very far behind.

@@shapeshifter-theamorphousg3264 I mean, if you consider a 10 to be a perfected game, then yeah. I don't. I consider a 10 to be a game that's impressed me beyond all others. Basically, my top favorite games. Everything else must be compared to that in terms of enjoyment and quality.

What's the best game EVER on Meta Quest 3?

​@davidsmith4186 honestly for right now I'd say into the radius, very similar atleast in world structure, as it's a bunch of big hubs connected to each other to simulate an open world, but much more akin to something like Stalker with atmosphere guns and side missions like collecting anomalies

My initial few hours in the game I was at a 9/9.5 for my score but the longer I played, the more repetitive it felt and the game loop just got tiresome...hebce my final score

Probably, it is exceptional and is (sadly?) probably the biggest vr game releasing in the next few years.

I haven't really experienced any bugs minus one that want telling me where my next quest goal was, but I figured it out

Haha omg you are so Lucky i know we are many People to have serious issues with this game... Actuelle since this afternoon i am now stuck after Sobek Fight...impossible to give the balance stone to Horus...i rolled back 3 times and fight back again sobek and again and 3 times still not working the stone goes back into my inventory wtf...well not the same expérience of the game haha

So it means actually i am stuck i cannot go even further in the game because the mission is to put the stone in Horus hand...lol super cool

I was getting frustrated when they kept introducing a new character to play as right when I bumped my skill points and upgraded my previous character which felt like it was for nothing … not knowing I could switch in between characters whenever I wanted to. Djehuty is actually my fav character to play with cause he’s the strongest and has the most divine energy.

@@Poundz978 Don't forget you can get all the skill points back to use for your new character and followers by giving the previous character a potion of emptiness (at least I think that's what it's called). I've just got on to Djehuty and I'm finding it a challenge to fight with his weapon set; plus sometimes I can't seem to pull my head off consistently, especially in the heat of a battle.

Unfortunately that's the quest capture software. While it does have frame drops, especially in the huge areas, it didn't impact my enjoyment though I've heard others say different... Especially quest 2 users

Agreed. But to be fair, I absolutely hate it when they make us swing our arms to run.

@@quanchi8284 it's about the quality of content, not the amount and it's not like I said it was a bad game, it just has pacing issues, performance issues and (imo) gets repetitive after awhile. Calm down and head back to your cave, it's not like I said it's a bad game, but in no way is it the best game. Go pick a fight on another channel...squid.

Resist is so underrated… a 5 man multiplayer match would be sick…
