ASICS Magic Speed | Fast and Firm | FULL REVIEW 

In my opinion this Ascis magic speed is a Jewel .. it is responsive , lightweigh durability is superb after done 15 km run hardly notice any wear on out sole . If they have wider toe box and a little more cushion I give this shoe a complete 5 ⭐️ rating .. thanks guys for this review

I’m with Robbe. All the money you’ve saved on races, get the super shoe. Even before- if you’re going to spend hundreds of dollars during a year on races, spend the extra $75 on your shoes (unless you’re going to be broke. Then don’t)

Nothing to do with this shoe, but Kipchoge ran in the next % 2 vs the alphafly! Would love a video breaking down his NN Marathon and some convo around why the switch! Or maybe on the next “The Drop” ??

Just found this on sale for $60. Your review sold me on it just to keep in my back pocket for tempo days.

I’d be curious to know your thoughts of this shoe vs the competitive similar price point. I think I’d throw in Brooks Hyperion Tempo, Saucony Speed, New balance Rebel V2 and Hoka Mach 4 and/or X2. All seem like pretty great picks this year.

To each his own. Better than Endorphin pro, not near as narrow, better outsole,, softer. Works great with mid foot strikers. Upper I softer, comforms to the feet, not the other way around, can be a cheap racer but let's you run at least a few days a week.

I left a similar comment to this on Run Like Heller. She was talking about the Hoka Rocket X and the inevitable comparison with the Carbon X was made. Now, I don't wish to single out Em, since everybody seems to do the same. They compare within a brand as opposed to the analogous shoes from the competition. So back when the Rocket X was new, you heard a lot of 'this is such an improvement over the Carbon X!' and so forth. What's misleading is that the Carbon was supposed to be heavier, more protective, and perhaps longer lasting. I'm not really trying to go on about Hoka, just that those two shoes are an excellent example of the following concept: Given two different models with a lot of similarity, the lighter, racing version will always 'win' a comparison. Nike released the Next before the training version of it, and the Alpha before it's heavier but similar trainer. I believe so, anyway, and I don't remember the names of them as far as which is which. But if they had released the intentionally heavier, more supportive, and long-lasting trainers before their racing cousins, all reviewers would have said: "the Next % is such a huge improvement over the (again, I'm not sure which is the one with the AF-like forefoot pods and which is more VF-like)". Of course every reviewer will say the lighter racing version is so much faster, etc. So, I guess the point is that we know the Metaspeed is lighter, faster-feeling, etc. So are the Endorphin Pro and the Adios Pro. A more relevant comparison is to other shoes intended to be on the border of trainer and racer, the fast training category. These guys get this more than some other channels as early on, the training version of one of Nike's supershoes was mentioned. The Endorphin Speed Would be a comparable shoe in Sony's line. Is it as light an fast as the $200+ supersede in any brand's lineup? I don't think it's really supposed to be!

Nice review as usual. How would you compare the Magic Speed against the Hoka Rocket X or Pumas Deviate Nitro?

I don't find my pair to be firm at all, there's a noticeable squish in the heel and even the forefoot with a plate, though slightly firmer isn't anything unbearable. It's about on par with the Endorphin Speed/Pro to my feet.

Robbe's always looking over his shoulder in those intro clips. How much of a headstart on the hounds do you give him?

like unstable shoe!! we can't do better! It's a shame to sell this product for 140 euros, to believe that they don't do tests at Asics? no stability, to be upright, rely only on yourself! this running is a total failure!
