In today video I take the ASICS Novablast 2 out for its first run. Just over 10 miles for its maden voyage and i share the specifications, my first impressions, likes and dislikes as well as who i believe the shoe is best suited for. Defiantly up there with the best daily trainer of 2021.

Asics has definitely upped their game the last two years and is finally producing cool designs, with modern technology. The Novablast, metaracer, metasky, glideride.....a really good selection of shoes now.

Good review mate… I’ve had to wait to do my first review.. I was undecided after the first run and didn’t want to rush out and unsure review. Great mileage this week too well done

Nice review, these look pretty good. I really want a pair of the blue Metaracers and the red Metaspeeds they look v nice imo.

Coming from Novablast 1, I'm looking forward to get a pair of the new version. I admit it took me a while to break in the shoes but overall happy with the comfort, responsiveness and outsole wear. Happy miles!

Hi Ben. I felt exactly the same didn't excite me and I felt it clunky, I certainly couldn't pick the pace up I've done 8/13/8 mile runs in this shoe and decided I will keep it for slow recovery runs. Disappointing shoe. 👍

I’d didn’t give me that wow factor however for me did seem like it wanted to run fast. I’ll have to keep testing. For me a good shoe but maybe not great :) thanks for your comment, interesting to hear other’s opinions in these shoes :)

@@BenIsRunning I have searched for a pair of Endorphin Speed 2 since they were released last month but it is nearly impossible to find a pair in size (EU 46.5) in my country. So I decided to check out the Italian site misterrunning.com who had my size in stock (in my favorite colorway "Royal Blue"). Just ordered them a few days and would expect them to arrive next week! :)

Yes, I have speed 2 on the way. I might wait to buy novablast 2 as have too many shoes and not enough time to use them!

Nice review.! They seem so noisy and slapping on the road? Is it the shoes or the tiredness of your legs?

No idea 😂 had my headphones in so I can’t say I noticed them being particularly noisy

The novablast I’d say. More responsive and much nicer fit/lockdown in my experience

@@brandonsun1150 I personally prefer the fit, the 4mm drop and the weight. Just works better as a shoe for me :)

If I’m totally honest it’s not even close! Mach 4 is my favourite shoe of this year, still, even after some 500km+
