We started making "Gay Family Values" videos as a response to prop 8 here in Ca. These videos have been a huge hit. We have come to understand that the reason these videos are so popular is that people dont get to see what it means to be a gay couple in a long term relationship raising children. Our family is no better and no worse then any other family.
We have been getting lots of questions about our family and in the past we would respond to every email we received. We have decided to open our family up to questions you may have

Guys, thank you for putting this out there. You have a beautiful family and the love and care for your kids comes across strong. From a fellow gay dad with an adopted son, this is something we considered as well before adopting, but we know that teasing is no reason to deprive a child a loving home. Kids are teased for every reason imaginable. What counts is raising your children to be strong, self-confident and able to respond to discrimination. All the best!

Once again , Amazing video! You both have given me such a great outlook on kids, which i can never thank you enough. I never had supportive parents that took an interest in what i wanted to do in my life. I'm still very bitter about my childhood and how my life would have turned out if i had better support. You are true examples of what love can do. You give your children amazing values and wonderful life lessons. They are light years ahead of the game! Thanks again!

I am so glad you did this video. Im 23 and ive started to think about family and kids within the next 4-5 years and Ive always worried about people teasing my kids for having two moms. I just now started watching your videos, and I just want to say that you guys are awesome. I thank you for sharing your lives. It literally brought tears my eyes. I like what you said about "don't stereotype others and don't stereotype yourself" Some time ago I lost that belief. Living in a conservative town isn't easy. Being first generation Asian American and Gay is something that makes me special, and need to embrace this more each day . Thanks again from a new fan.

Happy Birthday, Daniel! Hope your birthday party is the best yet! The measuring door is the same as our family's. We, as kids, had to include our cats and dogs, too! Good points about teasing. I grew up in a rural area and got teased - in class - for being a good student in 6th grade. My parents had a conversation with the teacher for him to change the tone of the class and set a basic standard of behavior. No reason to be ashamed of your talents or of your own being. Thanks!

You both are obviously loving and nuturing parents who want the best for their children. You are exeplary people who ignore the biology of a child and love him/her who they are. Happy Birthday, Daniel! About teasing, I think it's important to remember that the problem belongs to the bully, not to the bullied. A very simple way to get through bullying for kids is to teach them to repeat in their heads, "I'm okay, their problem belongs to them, not me."

You're absolutely right when it comes to bullying, it has everything to do with the bully, who will jump at anything, be it that someone's fat, wears glasses, stutters or has gay parents. I've just come across you guys' videos, and this is a major issue I had with me thinking of my future.. I've always wanted a stable relationship with a guy when I'm older, but was worried about adopting/surrogating, incase the kids' got bullied. Thanks for the insight on this matter. Thanks for this, As a heterosexual father and grandfather, and a clergyman, I do appreciate seeing the "inside" of a family like yours. We have found, in Canada, that families like yours actually tend to give the children a boost academically, for reasons unknown. Certainly they have proved successful, and without all the "apocalyptic" that so many predicted.

Absolutely great video! The kids are so funny together :) When I was younger I was teased a lot because of my cleft lip... more so than being gay. I got called the normal "sissy" and such, but it was mostly always because of my lip. I'm happy the kids have such great influences like you two :)

This was my first video i watched from you guys and I HAVE to say it: You guys are amazing!! Truly touching and really real. I hope many people notice you guys so you can eliminate some of the demonizing stereotypes of same sex parents. I subscribes immediately. I was watching this and didn't know exactly what I was feeling. When I finally put my finger on it, I realized it was jealousy. Having grown up in an emotionally and sometimes physically abusive (heterosexual) household with a rotating cast of parental figures, I just wish that I'd had a chance at the kind of love, commitment, and normalcy that is obvious in these videos. To all the people who say it's wrong to raise children if it's not one man and one woman, what about single mothers or single fathers, people who cannot have children but adopt as a single parent. They're all wrong too? They're going to hell also? People love to get upset when something isn't just like them or their lives. Hey, I am heterosexual who never supported LGBT before. I've always wondered how gay marriages and parenting works. I watched first video on world strictest parents and today I watched 4 of your videos. I must say I am so impressed. I don't know if most gay parents are like what i have watched but you guys are doing a much better job at parenting than many straight couples are. I am beginning to appreciate and respect these arrangements and I hope many of them will copy from you. All the best.
