It definitely revitalized AC though. AC was falling off before Black flag they made rogue and liberation pretty fast to stay afloat. But after Black flag they raked in the dough. No game before or since has let you captain a ship with that much freedom.
EricTheMad Assasins creed rogue was made after Ac Black-flag, dumbass. And in rogue you could basically do the same thing as you could do in black-flag.
This is amazing, because during the story of black flag you constantly get harassed by the Abstergo romanticizing pirates in a typical hollywood manner like this trailer. While during the story you progress as Edward Kenway is a story about a man trying to find happiness in the things that he desires, and will do anything to obtain this, only to find out that after obtaining these riches and material wealth he lusted for so long, that it doesn't make him a tinkers damn happier because there is not a man or woman he loved left standing beside him. Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.
Well it's not at all like the Abstergo movie trailers, quite the opposite. The Abstergo trailer possess the underlying subtext that anyone who is not willing to accept a rising power's claim on authority unquestioned, our the rules it is trying to impose on those it claims as its' subjects to enforce the position of domination it desires, has to be a sociopath without the faintest empathy for other peoples' needs. Watch the "Devils of the Caribbean" trailer again bearing this in mind and you will see what I mean. This trailer on the other hand really does the opposite. It tries to tell the story that you don't have to accept authority without question, that you can successfully oppose it and that it would not necessarily mean that you have no values. It actually puts the other side in the role of the authority that wants nothing more than to gain control over free people, no matter the cost. The Abstergo trailer is a lie in that sense and since there is not a party in that trailer really speaking on behalf of the pirates it permits itself the claim on truth, which is the "everything is permitted" or the "might makes right" part.
Damn straight. The one game that actually took my emotions on a roller coaster ride. That ending was so cool and you get to talk to your daughter afterwards
this is the best game of the assasins creed series.... main mission, so much side activites, naval gameplay, hunting, and the other thing is the environment, it is so colourful and great, not like the dark colour surrounding that we had in asssasins creed 3. only one thing to say about this game.. this is the best.

Is nobody talking about the fact that Edward can break apart chains and punch through wood ? That's clearly superhuman right there. And we only got those things with Ezio, but only when he falls from a high place without breaking anything
Having played all the AC games, When I started this game I wasn't too keen. But after hours of exploring and quests ect it became a treasure of a game for me 🔥

I really want a remake of Black Flag with a huge map and some new added story mission(if possible). But though, i love black flag story the most. I love Edward.. Badass protagonist in the whole francise.
It was 2015 and I used to watch assassins creed 4 trailer on my Nokia asha 205 (Java) mobile, then I brought a simple tablet (512 mb ram) and started watching gameplay videos, trailer videos of Assassins creed 4 (2017), then I brought Redmi 4 and I was playing The Pirate Caribbean hunt game on my android smartphone (it was better than Assassin creed Pirate). And now I have pc and I'm going play this game after years of waiting.
The one in the cinematic trailers is like Brad Pitt Aquiles version of handsome, preatty face, etc. And the one in the game is like the Constantine version of television...
Same for me dude, i think both ac2 and black flag are on equal footing in terms of everything, ac 2 had the best story, Black flag had the second best story, black flag had more variety and the kill animations felt more powerful and cinematic while Ac2 had better Parkour, i think it depends on which of them you play first
