Nice video! I didn't think anyone used Borg stuff anymore. I still think it's hilarious that the Borg see the Kazon and just nope themselves out. Personally I think Kazon are that no name off brand Transformers toy your grandparents got you that's 'just the same' as the real thing, meaning Klingons.

Thanks for explaining everything so well, I'm new to the game and there's so much to learn! I hope someday I can obtain the borg stuff as its the style I want to look.

Regarding the retro-fit assimilator and the dispersing nano-probe consoles. You mentioned that the assimilator causes ships to become pets, but the nano-probe turns shiips into probes. I do not have the assimilator, but i still get some ships following me as assimilated version of themselves... such as Voth Citadel ships in the sphere. TL/DR: the nano-probe console also CAN assimilate ships to follow you as pets for a time.

I know I'm late but for the final touch to my Borg of Prey (i use the Klingon Recruitment T6 Bop) i slapped the Breen shield from the side shuffled Breen storyarc. Looks a lot like a TNG Cubus skin.

Back when i played sto on pc the best plasma beams were the advanced fleet plasma dual beam banks lol

My Borg Barbie is a Liberated Starfleet Sci officer. She's fantastic at crowd control and damage in space and ground.

You should do a borg build with one of the Tal Shiar ships

When I think of borg, I think of Voyager. So I usually use altimid plasma because voyager shows the beams being different, also the defiant looks ridiculous with the visuals, such a good solid build you can use on a lot of ships

There is a whole book with Picard and Spock where they explicitly say that the planet inhabited by living machines that Voyager six crashed on was, in fact, the Borg homeworld.

Done this on my Karen of Borg toon (yes she has the Hair!), lot of fun

I run pretty much the same on the tal shiar ships, minus the leg scimitar due to the adapted warp core not being able to equip.... fun build though.

No nanite disruptors? The nanite disruptors and bio-photon torpedoes is what I started with. Plasmonic leech, multi-tractor arrays, the Borg ship set and Borg weapon set and all the Borg consoles. There's also a Borg vanity shield which I used for my liberated Borg character before they were far enough along to unlock the Omega tier.

Think ima visit this type of build on the Legendary Sovereign, since if we go by the films, the borg attempted to capture the ship. im sure some technology remains on said ship.. >.>

I been wanting to make one of these for an epg build but not having unconventional tactics is holding me up. I like how many borg console options they have now though.

You technicaly can play as a borg BUT its a liberated borg! think thats the nearest you would get ...As you say they aint gonna make it a playable faction ect and plenty of duty officers in game too ...Yes you have the borg Juggernaught ( i was lucky enough to get 2 of them from the themed borg lock boxes back in the day ...and being the nice player that i am gave one to a friend in our fleet ..and also put the borg lockboxes in the fleet bank and someone else got one out of them! ) TBH the borg juggernaought flys like a lump of lead unless you build it right or have the right skills set up)......AS ITS NOW nearly a year since you posted the vid ....i havent been fortunate enough to get the borg ascimilator out of the boxes ( i only spend a bit each month on zen and use it on my various alts ..especialy newish ones to buy duty officer slots, inventory and bank 1st or buy out an event if i know i will be short by a day or two to complete them ..after that then i buy some keys but dont do it often ..im a lifetime sub player ....NOW that needs some overhaul and looking at ...especialy the captians table ...its a total dead zone if you go there !

Why would anyone want to RP as this nightmare, I literally can’t think of anything more horrific than been assimilated (actually that’s not quite true the Reapers from mass Effect top the Borg for horror but it’s close) turning the borgs tech against them I can go with but not the wanting to be a Borg. Also I love that Dis to the Kazon.

Is the borg set still worth it in 2023 ? I have it collecting dust in my bank. I’ve thought about investing to upgrade them to epic level, but as you stated, the 60 second lock out on the passives puts a huge damper on it, I feel like they should be reduced to 10-15 second lockouts to help that set out.

Don't really get the Borg vibe on dual beams. I am enjoying my Borg Juggernaut with ETM and torpedo build working nicely on elite content. Multiple weapon triggers for increased regen from colony tac consoles also gives you a green shield hue on proc. 😊 Issue with engineer is you can't use your orbital with the cutting beam kit module due to shared cooldown. Tactical Initiative on the other hand...

Now this video has gone up, so too shall the price of Assimilated Plasma and the Consoles. As all the bored players looking for something to do will now make Borg characters...

They should do some updates on the older sets. New stuff is nice but alot of the older stuff is just left behind

I think it would be quite easy to make the borg ships playable. But the problem is that it wouldnt be realistic at all and wouldnt make any sense

I have a Borg idea. Maybe Cryptic could have a Borg Alcove bridge. When you enter the bridge all the officers come out of their alcoves. What do you think?
