Wow, nice job guys! I had this idea several year ago and always intended on converting a trailer myself but never had the chance. I'm happy to see the concept being implemented and brought to market.
Frickin' awesome! This is PERFECT! Best laid out toy hauler I've found thus far.. other than not having two hydraulic beds in the garage ceiling.. or perhaps electrical outlet pumps for air mattresses for the tailgate for little shits to sleep.. With that addition, one could sleep 6-8 people comfortably inside, more if the two pull down sofas were able to be put together, with the overhead compartment switched to where the one sofa deeper in the trailer is located.
Even though they said they only make them for ATC toy haulers I don't know why any regular enclosed trailer with a door that folds down around the same dimensions wouldnt work. with a little bit of modifications and you can probably put it on anyting. I could make it work but probly too pricey for me. I'll just make something similar with canvas sides with Windows. I would have whole thing flip up inward so you didn't have to raise it just to load and unload my quads. Definitely a good idea way to go thanks for the video
If everyone is complaining, maybe it's your product. Make a product that is user friendly. Duh.... We are full timers is a 40ft triple slide toy hauler. DON'T TELL US HOW WE SHOULD LIVE.... RVrs state this is too much work and very cheep. You say it's our fault we don't like your product . WOW. YOU ARE NOT NICE
Since you have blamed me for not being a RV lover I am going through all your videos giving them a thumbs down. How dare you insult me because I do not like your failed product
Walmart sells two side walls that would give a DIYer a good head start. For a 7 foot wide Cargo trailer, you would need 6+7+6=13 feet. Walmart sells a "Strong Camel Sidewalls 13'X6.4' SIZE FOR Tent Outdoor Pop Up Canopy Gazebo Marquee 1PC (With Window)" for $10.01. It even has a large decorative window on the middle. The other unit from Walmart is in short supply- my cart says hurry- only 3 left! It is a "Strong Camel Strong Camel Sidewalls 10'X6.4' Size For Tent Outdoor Pop Up Canopy Gazebo Marquee with Zipper&Window. You actually get 2 pieces! One has that same decorative window in the center, and the other piece is solid. Each is 6 ft 4 in. H x 10 ft W, and the double set goes for $19.99.
How do you prevent Galvanic oxidation between your steel fasteners and steel fixtures and your aluminum? This will be an issue since these trailers have a floating ground through the chassis adding to electrolysis between the dissimilar metals.
HEY !!!!! CAN WE GET THESE ROOMS FOR A INTERSTATE LOADRUNNER ???? OR DOES THIS ROOM FIT ONLY YOUR TRAILER ???? Caps are on because Ive noticed that others have asked questions and you have not responded to them.
This is amazing. I could totally see using this on a small cargo trailer that way I have the room I need when opened and a manageable size to tow with an SUV. So my idea is a 7x10 v nose cargo trailer with this on the rear ramp area, a pop out bed on the driver side and a slide out kitchen on the passenger side covered by an awning. The shower in the v nose and toilet next to it, a dinette and cupboards inside all compact. When all closed it's a small towable design but when opened I would have all the amenities of a larger trailer but can tow with a smaller suv. My idea I'm putting a Patent on it now lol no joke feel free to use it haha.
There's not a whole lot of information about the 3-season room on the web (at least that I can find). I have not found any image or video of a trailer that has this patio room feature and a happijac system -- are they mutually exclusive, or was this just coincidence?
I was thinking the same thing, but with no answer looks like we'll have to design and build our own! Maybe some plywood, hinges, and parts from a tent?
I knew someone else had to of asked this lol. I did a little research about the cable patio's on trailers and most are rated at 600-1000lb's if there are no foot braces. There is a toy hauler with a pretty big patio with foot braces and it was rated at 3200lb's. It was also mainly push button besides folding out the legs. But for the life of me I can't remember what brand it was.
My buddy built his own almost just like this. He said he didn't find anything online, but that was a year ago. He built his aluminum roof and all the little hardware gadgets, then had a tent/ boat cover/ awning place make (not cheap!!) the soft sides. Probably cost a fortune to have the whole thing done right.
Hi Gordon, we just had a comment similar to yours last week but it appears to have disappeared. The patio room is specifically made to fit ATC units and at this time we don't make custom kits. So if you call into our parts department with the following info: ramp door opening, interior height of the trailer, width and length of the ramp door, and the ramp door weight rating. If the patio room works for your trailer we would recommend having an ATC dealer install it for you due to the complexity of the installation. You can call Kent with ATC Parts #: 574-773-8340
Hi Bob, the patio room was designed specifically for ATC trailers, I'm not sure it will work with a Pace. You can contact our Parts department with your measurements to check.
@@BobHolster-om8rf You can give Kent in our Parts department a call @ 574-773-8340. Bears would find to luxuriously tasty in this. Tent eating is just another burrito to them. I agree with a lot of work , OK if your young enough and have a good back for the up and down tie this strap that. Excellent ideas of how to make a toy hauler more luxuriously. For the price 💰💰💰 👍
I called ATC. Was told they are for ATC trailers only. They are built to order only for ATC trailers. Told him that was a shame a lot of people would like one for other models.
Patio??? You take 1 step out the door and the ground is the patio and it didn't take 2 hrs to build...image it's raining and windy putting it up and taking it down
Cool concept but way too much work if it gets super windy you're still going to have to take it down I hope it comes standard on all the ATC models as they are $100,000
Wouldnt it make more sense to have a screen in for the side awning and leave the rear available for easy load and unload of vehicles? Or maybe instead of a fixed roof like that have a tent add on that you could leave off if you didn't want it in the way. Just my humble opinion.
There’s got to be an easier way to set up that back son, you should have it zip and fold up . And I really don’t trust cables to hold a lot of weight. It just seems like a lot of work
Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again to save us from eternal judgement and give us eternal life if we believe Him. Only God can save us and freely give us new life inside forever
I could have built a custom home in the time it took to build that...and I'm sure anyone over 50 wants to crawl under that door to latch it....not a well thought out design...and I bet it doesn't close up very easy
Over 50 how about over 40, looks are great but I still would put stabilizer jacks under the patio. Don't trust cables for anything , not even hanging out the laundry
Less than one minute extra, everybody loves mine, my buddy already built his own version. You just pull one pin, pull down one pole, and push up on the roof until it clicks. 5% of the total time to get 2-3 bikes out. I don't even put the pin in the roof pole if I'm just unloading at home. Best thing ever.
That thing SUCKS. Great idea but Fail. Way to much work to set up and tear down. Having to get on my hands and knees in the mud and rocks to tie every corner down under the gate is stupid. The inside with the windows up looks worse then a ice fishing tent. Let alone when you take the plastic windows down. Oh ya... plastic windows. Wonder how long they will last in the Az sun. One season. Then they crack and are worthless.... You almost took your knuckles out on the door frame lifting the awkward roof. Nobody thought of a handle. Duh... A well built man grunts lifting the roof.... What's Grampa gonna do. Oh ya. That lifting will fix his back he threw out crawling on the ground attaching the anti wind bungee that will last all of one season at best.... TOTAL FAIL
I bet any warranty wouldn't be worth the paper it was written on. One drunk or a good windstorm will destroy that craptacular mess. Red green would be ashamed of building something that flimsy.
