I've been using the ATK as a beta user for a few weeks and it has been great. I tested standalone and apex connected and both offer great benefits depending on how you use it. IQ Fill is great but one of the cool standalone only features is its audible alarm. If you aren't an apex user these alarms give you a clear warning that something went wrong in lieu of getting text or email alerts. And to add on top of that it will sound a different beep sequence to tell you which issue it was. 1 beep for running too long, 2 beeps for the top sensor being under water, 3 for leak detection, and 4 for a container that is empty. When connected to an Apex you lose IQFill and the audible alarms but you gain the ability to fine tune the delays, max runs, and time between top offs. Another benefit is adding code that prevents the ATK from running due to a false low/high readings like when skimmers, reactors, and return pumps are restarting after feed modes and power failures.
@Neptune,IQ fill is genius. I use a timed outlet to add KALK at timed intervals for my ATO. No floats or switches. I love this kit you have because I assume that the IQ Fill will do the same thing but have the added safety reliability of the features of this kit.
Awesome job Neptune! Great Video Terence. (Although the close up was a little much, just keep one camera angle) Looking for ward to adding the ATK to my system. I might run it as a standalone unit because of the third saftly feature.
Looks like Apex has done it again with another winning product. Lots of failsafes and finally a utility pumps that can handle head pressure. I will add this to my list of got to haves. Good job Terrence and crew.

Works fine if you remove the float. The hole for the water is way toooooo small and mine only works for 10 seconds and then pump shuts down due to too much back pressure.
Question for Neptune systems experts. Do you think that using 2 ATK kits with 2 Hayward Needle valves (1/4") and 2 FS25 flow sensors (1/4" - just for monitoring purposes) you can make an automatic water exchange system that can exchange 10 GPH? A DOS system is too slow for my tank.
Mine will be here Wednesday, could an optical sensor be used to monitor skimmer levels like the FFM or am I asking a bit too much of this other worldly device?
It sounds great but that plug stinks, it's too large for a regular power bar, should have made it smaller, it will take two spots unless u use some sort of extension adapter which always come loose, I know because my Jebao pumps and kameor doser has the same one-frustrating
Unfortunately that is the smallest power adapter you really can get to reliably power this pump and module. Most quality power strips have at least one outlet that has space enough for it without sacrificing an outlet. I know our Energy Bar 832 outlet spacing was designed to accommodate larger power adapters.
There's no need to plug the ATK/FMM power supply into an EnergyBar. The FMM ACC/DC24 port where the PMUP plugs in is controllable by the Apex - ATO programming is done in that output; you would have to program the EnergyBar outlet to be always on if you do plug the power supply into an EB outlet, so using an EB outlet for the FMM PS is pretty much a waste of an EB outlet that could be put t a better use.
What happens in situations when return pump is off during feed mode or maintenance and the sump level rises? Does this nuisance trip the ATK alarm? Or does it ignore this somehow?
I currently have a float valve in my sump plumbed directly to my RODI filter unit with a 115v inline solenoid valve that is controlled by my Apex. The valve is activated for a half hour each day. Is it possible to forgo the ATK pump and hook the ATK directly to the inline valve? Also does the ATK have capability to sense an over height water situation and turn power off to the solenoid?
Yes, we have a solenoid valve that can be used in place of the PMUP. Even in standalone mode you can put an extra optical sensor in one of the ports and it will shut the power down in case the water level goes too high.
There is an optional configuration whereby you remove the float valve and it fits just fine. We have tested them in multiple IM tanks, including a 10g one in Terence's office. Check out www.neptunesystems.com/atk-help and there is a video there showing it.
Neptune Systems you also said 6-8 weeks for the FMM kit probably over 12 weeks ago. Is there any update on U.K. Shipments? I need the FMM module, this pump, the ato sensor & float unit and also the flow monitors. Presumably when this comes to the U.K. Getting two kits are going to give me two modules. Will I need 2 FMM modules for 3 flow sensors and this ATO?
I’m having a lot of issues with my ATK. My optical sensors keep getting errors because of build up on them. Is there a fix for this? I have to clean them every few days. I’ve never had to do this with my other ATO systems. It keeps over filling to the top sensor then I get an alarm.
Neptune Systems is there anything I can do to keep this from happening? I have to clean it every few days or it sets off high alarms or it just stops filling up the return chamber because it can’t see. A lot of people use kalk in their ATO water, so I can’t be the only person with this issue. It wasn’t a problem I’ve ever had to deal with before because I don’t have optical sensors with my other ATO systems. This one was more expensive and had been more work for me.
If it is, in fact, kalk film it is possibly due to your kalk not being allowed to settle out after mixing. Probably everything in your sump has a layer of "dust" on it.

EDK ReefMeister I guess so. The sensors don't plug into a standard apex, just like most extensions. you will need the module to plug in the sensors. this architecture makes it possible to expand the system infinitely as you can daisy chain modules.
EDK ReefMeister I would watch the video again to check, but I believe he said that the ATK comes ready to go without an Apex meaning that it should come with the FMM.

Only one problem...they are never in inventory to buy. Just like the Neptune. Either you are doing it on purpose to build hype (not good for cashflow) or you have a very bad logistician. Just to make things right, I would say fire the logistician because someone needs to be fired. Just kidding. It reminds me of the days when one of my kids wanted the new PS3 for Christmas and the only place one could be found was on ebay for $3,000.
