In the English subtitles, Gabi says, "I've only killed a few..." but in the Japanese dialogue, the word for killing pests and the counter word for counting insects and small animals are used. No wonder Nicolo was furious.
"Children of the Forest." One of the series' best episodes. Truly. Nicolo and Gabi's Voice Actors deserve rewards for the voice acting. And to top it off with Papa Braus' speech, and the wine reveal is nothing short of perfection. Meanwhile, Eren now has a habit of talking to his friends while holding them at Titanpoint. Absolutely cannot wait for the next one. I feel like Isayama speaking through Sasha's father is one of the best moments in the entire series.
Remember back in season 2 when Reiner,Ymir & others found a abandoned tower with wines and food supplies near Ragako village? Ya that was Zeke and his marlian soldiers. They took shelter there. That's why only Ymir could read the writing on those cans.Becuz she used to live in Marley
@@MarkosAnimeJourney Another thing about a certain tower scene in season 2.Remember when Ymir picked up a can and said "Herrings not my favourite... ".(This was when Reiner was pretending he couldn’t read the writing on the can) In case u didnt know herring is a fish found in sea.which means not only that the sea is real but theres also life outside the sea
Here we find out why Isayama decided to kill a character as popular as Sasha, her death influenced a lot for the script and characters, as expected, nothing happens in vain here.
The art director for episode13 is amazing. I thought the Ragako village and Levi's reminiscing scene were especially beautiful. All the pictures are beautiful from beginning to end.
Who would have thought that Floch who was merely a side character in season 3 has now become Eren's right hand. Seeing him like this seemed like he was born for this role. Amazing writing isn't it?
Floch is such an amazing character for how short he shows up in the story. His convictions he has had since his charge with Erwin are amazing to see and him trying to act like Erwin to lead the nation to victory is great
Honestly personally for me ...he's the only memory of erwin's existence i know there are other characters but when i see floch i can't help but remember episode 18 of season 3
Eren: Talking about me? Armin: Uh? No, do you think you're the center of the universe? Eren: So who you were talking about? Armin: Isn't it obvious? I was talking about Floch Eren: Ah... Makes sense
Through this episode, Isayama shows us how the cycles of hatred and violence continue, and how Gabi and the other warriors are children who got lost in the forest, and Kaya seems to continue that cycle. Mr. Braus gives us a moral lesson, it's not about who killed first, but there will always be people with his "kill Gabi", "but Eren suffered more", or whatever, completely ignoring all the message that the author is trying to say. One of the best episodes of this season IMO.
it's a hard thing to do but it's necessary to understand and learn repeating hate will not solve anything it will just make more pain and it will keep repeating without ever stopping i love sasha's dad
If you look closely you can see a green tint in the whole Ragako flashback scene. This could be to show that it's a "fake" flashback. This stylistic choice is used in the Matrix movies for example.
If everyone was like Sasha's parents there would be no war between Eldia and Marley and saying they r doing it becuz "Our ancestors did the same to us". Becuz Sasha's parents rlly believe that they should keep their children's out of their mess
Sasha's dad was real MVP of this episode. If only all the people can understand everything like him.😞😞 When Eren walked in casually in that room I was like WTF.😂😂
7:07 In this scene, in the official subtitles, Zeke assumes that Levi wasn't popular with the girls, and what Levi replies is, "I was popular... once.", this "once" was with Petra
the moment you said "Why is Eren so depressed, I have bad feeling about this" 😢 Eren must have seen too much to change from an angry rebellious boy to such cool headed depressed guy... Btw, for me the next episode is the heaviest one to comprehend
What's happening at this restaurant is a microcosm of this world. 🌍 I was so nervous that I felt a pain in my stomach, probably because I was overpowered after seeing it. As usual, the work of the voice actors is too wonderful. 👏 The Kaya scene looks different in manga, and it's very nice, so please read the manga when you've finished watching all the anime.🥳💓 I like the production where Kaya's face is not shown on the screen until just before she hits Gabi.
I agree. Removing dislike button is a bad decision. There are many bad videos that are hurtful to people that youtube allows on their plataform, and the dislike button is the main way for the community to talk to each other about it. "The world is just a big forest where everyon eis fighting for their lives. Sasha died because she stayed in the forest for too long. WE must keep the children out of the forest." There are whole sociology dissertations that can be written just on these lines. And what happened to Kaya later is exactly why. Kaya, when she went to kill Gabi was the beggining of another cycle. When she was being hold down and crying, that's to show the reason we need to keep the children off of the forest. Also, Marko, I'm pretty sure you'll be getting emotional next episode. Let's just say it' quite savage. Can't wait to watch your reaction.
This episode might be my favorite from this season. Sasha's father is the mvp by far, and I just love his character after this episode. And it's so sad when you think about Nicolo and Kaya, specially Kaya, she lost her mother, and then the girl who saved her. You can see how this is something heavy on her, since she doesn't cared Falco and Gabi were from Marley, but the moment she discovered Gabi was the one who killed Sasha, she imediatelly tried to attack her. And her screams and crying, bruh, pure sadness and anger in them. And pior Falco, how many times he got fucked because of Gabi. Great reaction as always, I can't wait for the other episodes of this final stretch Also, how I would react in a situation like that? The only answer I can give is something a philosophy teacher told me years ago: "We can never know how we would react. As better as to think you know yourself, you can only know what you'll do in a certain situation if it happens"
The "Children of the Forest" speech probably speaks to what this show is portraying than anything else. There are a lot of other lines that often get tossed around, but if AoT had any thesis or a type of message, I believe it was this. The fact that it comes from Mr. Braus - a wise man put still a side character with limited screen time - is pretty brilliant. You also have to admire how much important character's deaths have bigger and bigger domino effects as the show goes on. Death's like Carla and Marco have strong, meaningful repercussions on singular characters early on, but by the time we get to Erwin and Sasha, the shockwave of their deaths can be felt for so long afterwards.
Hello! This episode is one of the best episodes for me. Sasha's dad is an incredible character, truly amazing! While feeling hatred and suffering from this episode, the only light I felt was from Sasha's dad. Furthermore, I was touched by his words of concern for Gabi. As for Ellen, I was the same as you, he looked like he was in pain and pushing his true feelings away. The more I watch AOT, the more it draws me into its worldview! It's so insane!
My thought about Levi’s frustration is that he’s more angry at Eren himself. “What the hell was the hope we saw?” He was willing to sacrifice everything because he believed that Eren could unlock the door to their future, but now Eren is leading them down a path of greater peril than ever before. Also can’t believe you called the spinal fluid being in the wine like 3 episodes ago. Great reactions!!
Yeah, you are probably right about that. I was too fixated on Levi saying that government wants to have someone eat Eren and thought that Levi was mostly upset about that. It makes more sense that he was upset with Eren's actions.
@@denjipochita3398 I disagree. There are always exceptions that make the rule. He's fighting hard against those feelings of regret, which is what makes the scene so impactful. He doesn't want to give up on Eren completely, because that would mean true regret for all those he sacrificed to save Eren in the past. Maybe instead of saying he's showing regret, I should say the regret is creeping up on him.
17:23 I watched so many reactors, literally never someone thought about something like that. Though it was wrong (which is understandable because of all the stuff between Reiner and Falco) the way you make so smart theories and pay attention to everything and remember every detail is just awesome. About what you said that Zeke is smart, HELL YEAH !! Isayama ranked both Zeke and Hange as the two smartest characters in the show with a 11/10, he is indeed hella smart, literally tricked everyone in both Marley and Paradise. I hate him so much but he is an amazing character for sure.
Sasha has a pure character, she’s kind and comedic in the beginning of the show. But when she died, it implies the show is no longer comedic, what leaves behind are depression and suffering. I really appreciate your attitude towards gabi( poorly brainwashed girl) but at the same time not to side with gabi. From your reactions, I think your thoughts on Gabi is sympathetic but the sympathy doesn’t overweigh the loss of Sasha. I like your interpretations on the characters !
You are good at reading people! That's exactly how I feel, haha. I hope that there is solution for everyone to be happy but it's not in sight, at least not yet.
This was one of the best episodes this season, I love the title too "Children of the Forest" ,really cool. Now we have 3 episodes left until you're caught up with all of us. But season 4 part 2 will start airing in a few weeks! Exiting stuff! By the way Marko, what will you react to after you finish this part? Will you continue One Piece then?
Yeah, I will continue with One Piece and Jojo's Bizzare adventure. I want to add one more show when I finish AOT. I still don't know which one will it be but I will let people vote here on the channel! :D
Boy loves girl, girl acts totally bad shit insane, boy tries to protect her and run damage control, and ends up getting screwed over in her place many many times. Yet he always comes back. History of every Male-Female relationship :P
Hey Marko, How are you doing fellow? I'm the kind of guy who preffer watching without commenting, but i got tell you, your channel inspired me to restart watching AOT from S01 two weeks ago, and i just finished watching the entire AOT yesterday, so i'm waiting for your last reactions on S04 dude. Marko, just a question, i've been trying to figure out where are you from, and cosidering your accent and your name, i'd bet you are greek, am i correct? if not, where are you from fellow?
@@MarkosAnimeJourney I heartily agree. I'm always watching your reaction video on the translation channel. Take good care of yourself and enjoy the anime!
RU-vid baning the dislike buton is very political. From their logic consumers has to consume without thinking, and it's support both by state who don't like critizism, and big companies who want to scam and abuse naive consumers. I'm not going to be specific, wouldn't like your channel become controversial.
My english is not very good because it's not my first language, I try to speak slowly in order not to screw up too much and for people to understand. :D
@@MarkosAnimeJourney My English is bad enough for such advice but try to swallow more sounds. When I hear spoken English it is more difficult for me to understand it, but I really like the way it sounds🤗
