My last crits where from 2016...started again this year...average speed of the peloton has increased from 40-44 to 44-47 kmh ... ☠️. Still find it nuts you race on a public road thats not even blocked from traffic.

Had my first crit in today with 30 people on a not even 800m long course in Germany but I somehow felt prepared from your videos. However all tactics went over board after the first round and the rest was just trying to survive and not to crash. Finished middle of the pack... Well there's a difference between theory and practice, but let's see how the next races go on. Congrats to your win again!

Very useful as always! Doing my second season of road races (one crit only, yet). And I will have to participate in 100+ races to gather the tactics that you're sharing. Hey Jeff, great content! Found your videos the other day and am feeling even more motivated to race my first crit. Are there other practice crits in the south bay area that would be more suitable for less advanced riders? I am looking to race my first cat 5 soon but am looking for places to get practice race experience mostly so I don't destroy myself or the other racers.

Great content and I always look forward to your videos. How do you show "the remaining distance to finish line" in Dashware? I search through "positional" in "data category" and "data type", but I can only find "distance", which is the distance from the start and counts up... Do I need a different "data category" of "positional"?

Question. 6 months into cycling, is it normal to have 160-180 doing mid-high to max effort? 28y/o,, 5'6 69kg. Before getting my heart rate monitor and setting it up properly, I've noticed that that was my heart rate when trying to reach 35-40kph solo (my current max speed lol). I've toned it down a notch and just aim for 130-140 average and maxing just around 150-155, but I'm not gaining speed tho. Any inputs on this?
