I have tried the swamp lite and now I'm running 26 inch zillas on a 750 kingquad. For all around riding on different surfaces the zilla is hard to beat. Does great on hard pack, rocks and moderate mud. My only complaint is running them in snow. The front constantly hunts back and forth looking for traction. The swamp lites and mud lites both outperform them in that category. Atleast on my quad.
I run 27" Zillas on my 500 HO. I live in Colorado, run in snow, mud, rocks and hard packed. They're so light, pull hard and just work great all around.
I went with 26" zillas, no spacers needed and no clutch kit on my Kodiak 450 , I just put it in low gear and has no problems making it thru the mud and on to the bank. My mudlites rode smoother on hard packed trails and they would push me thru the mud but I could never get them to bite onto the bank so I could get out of the mud hole .
The Swamp Lites actually do surprisingly well in wet stuff. But not as good as the Silverbacks in the thick muck. I've heard nothing but good things about the Terminators.
I have the zillas on my kawasaki bayou 300 and I went up 1 inch in size and lost almost 2.5lbs in weight compared to the stock. Combined with a clutch kit the zillas are a great buy!!!
I have 27" Swamp Lites on my Renegade and they ride well on most surfaces, but I'm not sold on the mud performance. I may put these on the wife's Outlander and upgrade to something else. The Zillas and Mayhems would be my top choices at the moment.
If you don't have low gear then stay with mudlites unless you are going to install a clutch kit. My 350 bruin has 25" mudlites and no low gear and it turns them no problem. My Kodiak 450 has 26" zillas and I have to be in low gear because they bite alot more.
Next time roll the tire that you are talking about out from the rest a little so that we know exactly which tire you are discussing as it is not clear if you lose track during the video. It would help us dummies that are not familiar with the latest tire models. Thanks.
lillfetisverige . how are they still holding up. still happy with them. what size did you go. I was thinking about getting a 28" set for my 700 grizzley
I have a arctic cat 650 h1 4x4 irs with factory tires and wheels 25x8 25x10 and was wanting to put new tires and wheels whats the biggest I can go with that wont rob a lot of power from it? at the smallest point between the original tires and fenders is about 3.5"
Sarah Borden I don’t know a whole or but my stock 06 660 grizzly will fit 28s But maybe you’d be able to get them to fit with a bit of grinding the fenders down
Sorry but the best looking tire is the Black Mambas and are one of the best tires for mud and sand. But as far as riding on trails with Black Mambas you would have a smoother ride with ★ shaped tires lol but Mambas just look so badass especially 34" Mambas. Like if you agree or if not tell me what tire is your favorite?
Anything thats not to aggressive or heavy is what I recommend, tires like Maxxis big horn, MSA Moto MTC and then if you want to get a little more aggressive Mudlite, Zilla, and the Mud Bugs which I have on my bike are all good.
Mega Mayhams, or Terminators? Need a good trail/mud tire but don't want to break any axles. Will be getting them in 28's. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.
Hey I have 26 inch Mudzilla's on my 500 and they are pretty heavy 9 wide on the front and 12 wide on the back Think i could move up to 27inch Mayhems without being any heavier??
mygpprodotcom not sure i agree with you on mayhems being a "mud tire". they're more of a hybrid aggressive trail/light mud tire. i really liked mine on 90% of the riding i did but they couldn't stand up to heavy mud and i spend more time winching than riding. my outlaws changed that
i have a cam am 500 outty, can someone please recommend a good mud tire, that doesnt take to much power away from the bike, seeing how it is, only a 500???
depends on what kind of riding you do. I have a 2006 arctic cat 500 automatic. i have 30in zillas on mine. they are good in the mud but the road just eats the tread. they will get u out of most holes if you mud ride. if you just trail ride i'd get 30in maxxis bighorns
the swamp lites are good but they get caked up way to easily. in my opinion id go with zillas or the executioners. i like the zillas cause they make u float easily
+GERRYTOWNS RIDERS I have a 2011 Kodiak/grizzly 350 IRS and I have 26 inch swamp lites on it and I love it. Gets me anywhere I want to go through mud or bog and I'm pretty sure I'm soon going to replace my winch cable because its rusted on due to lack of use!!! Swamp Lites!!!!!
Lnicholas8055 I would say terminators I have them on our Kawasaki Teryx they work great haven't broke any axles or driveshaft they grip and slip when u come out of a mud hole shoving your foot through the floor
Check my review on the Mega Mayhem. So far the best tire I used. I want to try the Swap Lite, I hate the Silverbacks! the lugs rip off and only good for soft mud. The Terminators are over priced for what they do compared to other mud tires.
ive got 26-10-12 frt and 26-12-12 Swamp Lites on a rancher 420... not bad at all. theyve done pretty well and all i really ride is trails to mud holes. I think next i may just go extreme and get outlaws
Mega Mayhems are nice for nasty mud and deep sand. Swamp lites dig straight to hell if you have any power. There is a reason why people call them "stuck lites".
I have the swamp lite and there no good in constant mud they cake up and design does not allow to sling mud off them unless you're on regular terrain. Lite mud and terrain there pretty good
I got a set of ss112 rims and 27 inch mega mayhems on eBay and paid 830.00 out the door, free shipping and it came with lug nuts and center caps and they were mounted
