Thanks for this video. Worked a treat. The only difficulty was attaching the door handle bar to the plastic clip. Got there in the end. Now works fine.
You need to disconnect battery if you remove the side impact crash sensor wire half way down the door. If you don’t then you will need the error code clearing for airbag symbol
Would the lock not working properly cause the window not to work, my off side rear door is doing this, not locking and unlocking on the key. But the window will not open on either switch as well.

That might be the wiring that goes between the door and the car body. If you have been opening and shutting that door regularly for a decade, that bends the wires back and forth many times, and eventually they snap. I just repaired my driver's door wiring using instructions from ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dl2m895FTJQ.html - my door locked but didn't unlock with the remote control, and the driver's window didn't open either, although the window buttons on the driver's door for *other* windows worked. My repair fixed the window problem but not the door lock problem, so it's likely I have the fault shown in this video as well.
@@courtd1554, In the end, I did buy a new one (well newish) substitute "new" for "new to me" and I have not put the old one on eBay, I am going to try this work around. Thanks
I wish my boyfriend or my daddy were still alive. I've been a magnet for idiots lately so I choose not to have any men in my life. I feel like if I took this apart I might break something else. Funds are tight and supporting two kids in college. I know it's going to cost me some money to have it done via a mechanic
Sorry for your loss, but don't let 1 or a couple of bad apples lead to irrational decision making. The world is full of good and bad people regardless of sex, race social eco etc... With that said, make wiser choices instead of just settling for. Life itself today is no different from the way it was a century ago. It's current technology that allows us to see what's always been happening first hand for ourselves everyday, rather than relying on our local news. There's always been poor and oppressed people, rich and snobby people and the hardworking and helpful people. However, there weren't always cameras in general keeping an eye on everyone and broadcasting what they were doing at any given moment. Anyway, you get the point and with that said. Look up videos and literature on how to fix simple things such as this. There are thousands of how to videos out there with indepth details like this one. It really isn't difficult to do these things at all. Raising your family and just overall surviving the way that you do supercedes this by miles! Just take your time and have some confidence in yourself. TRUST ME, you'll be surprised at what you're capable of when need be. Stay strong and keep pushing. You are your only limit.
