Hello Friends, I received a nice package from Japan.... Featured artists: Rolling Stones, Blind Faith, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Beach Boys, Toto and many more. Thanks for watching!
Man on Man Armien I envy that Toto Japanese press I heard that one is a killer I never ran across it yet. Lady soul buy Aretha Franklin another great pick up my favorite Aretha on that album Eric Claton, Bobby Womack and Duane Allman were session guys on that classic. Blind Faith Japanese pressing I'm speechless great stuff Armien another classic video
I hope you'll find a good copy of Toto soon. It's a classic 80s album with fantastic sound quality. Thanks for watching my friend! All the best :) Armien
More awesome music from my friend Armien. Thoroughly enjoyed it and keep up the good work. I love this guy.....he is the bomb. Take care my friend and have a blessed week. Ken
Hi Armien. Nice haul! I agree about the Japanese packaging. They always include a lot of extra things that don't normally come in other releases. They also do the same with CDs. Cool video.
Hi Armein, Another great video posting. I have a few Japanese pressings of my own and totally agree with your comments on the quality of both the pressings and the covers. Look forward to your next posting:-)
Armien so good to see you excitment about new records, it´s a very cool feeling. Wow... that Blind Faith is so amazing, the music inside the grooves it´s first class quality. Congrats my friend, awesome new records on the collection.
Been watching your videos for some time now. Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy them. Your taste is very comparable to mine. Love the Japanese OB's. I also feel the same way about them. Not sure exactly what it is but I guess it's Just a little bit of everything that makes them superior to US and other pressings. Have a great week. Chad-
Thanks you, Chad! Thats very nice to hear. Japanese pressings are always good. It's so much fun to listen to them. They definitely have some sort of magic. Have a great week as well! Greetings from Germany Armien
Cool stuff! I need to find some of those old Aretha albums for my collection. I recently checked out Osibisa based on your recommendation in a previous video and I love it. Definitely going to keep an eye out for that LP. Keep the videos coming!
Good to hear that you like Osibisa! This record really blew me away. The mixture of Afro Beat and Prog Rock is fantastic. To my mind three Aretha albums are essential: I never loved a man the way I love you, Lady Soul and Aretha Now. Thanks for watching :) Armien
Great additions to your collection Armien. I would like to get that Blind Fate album at some point. Maybe the MOV pressing :) Enjoy your gorgeous Japanese pressings :)
Hi Carsten, thanks for tuning in! I am sure the MOV of Blind Faith is a good pressing. Otherwise I can recommend the normal german or uk pressing. It can be found for under 20 bucks. Have fun with your new turntable. I was just reading the thread about Foreigner 4. Armien
Really cool pickups - was eyeing a Japanese record today, as a matter of fact :) Toto IV - great album. I found Aretha Now earlier in the spring ($3!) but still need Lady Soul.
Hello Kris, Aretha Now is still high on my want list! Congrats for finding it so cheap. Soul music on vinyl is quite hard (or expensive) to find here in Germany. Thanks for watching! All the best! Armien

Hi Armien, great findings and japanese pressings. Love that Toto-album. Great MIchael Jackson too. Quincy Jones has said once that he prefers "Off the wall" before "Thriller". I can't understand that, but "Off the wall" is one really underrated classic! Take care! :)
Hello Jörgen. so cool to hear that Quincy Jones himself prefers Off The Wall over Thriller. I agree with you that it is a little bit underrated. The mixture of Soul and Disco is just right. Thanks for watching my friend :) Armien
Michael Jackson Would have been 57, but his music will live on forever. and also you named off the 3 best albums also Blood On The Dance Floor is another great album of his. and i love your comment "when he used to be a black man" yea he did so much i'm surprised he didn't end up like that photo in Back To The Future "fading away"
Ah good to know. It was 57, not 59. Blood On The Dancefloor is another great album indeed. I also like the Dangerous as an early 90s album. Thanks for watching :) Armien
From Spain! Excellent video as always! I wonder if you could recomend some ebay or Discogs shops to buy japanesse pressings (jazz, rock, blues, etc). Thanks so much for your recomendations.
Hey man, I love your videos on here, your taste is fantastic. Keep up the good work! If was wondering if you could let me know where you get your protective sleeves from? They look exactly like the ones I have been searching for!
I love your explanation os to why the Japanese pressings are superior, and I agree 100%. Nice collection. I collect them too, and have a ton of Kiss, Beatles, and a whole bunch of other bands as well. Have a look if you have time. ~Cap
Oh yes that's totally true. Those Japanese pressings sound and look so good. They always have this "special touch". Thanks for watching :) Greetings from Germany! Armien
Hello Armien. Some killer heavy hitters right out of the gate, Stones and Blind Faith. It's too bad Blind Faith didn't stick together longer, so much potential lost. Lady Soul is an amazing Aretha album.
Someone just mentioned in a comment below that there is a double live album of Blind Faith. I didn't know that. Actually I am not a fan of live albums but in this case I will check it out. Thanks for watching my friend :) Armien
I enjoy your videos, I recently came across some Japanese 7 inch of Uriah Heep in super condition do you have any on 33? They are extremely hard to find here in the states. If you ever come across them for a good price pick them up I believe they are very rare. They are a fantastic band that still tour and their vinyl sounds great! Keep up the wonderful videos its always fun seeing what scores you find.
Hello Kurt, Japanese 7" of Uriah Heep? Sounds beautiful! Uriah Heep are a fantastic band indeed. I specially like their early stuff. Roger Dean did some awesome cover artworks. Thanks for watching my friend :) Armien
Armien
Japanese pressings for jazz are very good generally but not rock or pop in my experience. They are quieter, much better packaging, but the pressings are not better. An example is Supertramp's Breakfast in America. Both bass and treble are rolled off, like many Japanese pressings. I'm not sure whether it has be remastered from the originals but the British or EU pressings of this are way better.
Hi my friend, I don't think Japanese records can be called audiophile. In sound, they sound very mediocre, MFSL, Analogue Productoin, Impex, Classic Records are really audiphile editions!
