Upon watching the tune up, I dug up Bruna from the abyss of my old edh decks and immediately unloaded some spells from my semi competitive Elsha deck - Narsets Reversal, Arcane Denial, Jeweled lotus, Counterspell, and a few others. Ghostly Prison had slotted in quite finely. Definitely a deck ill play more often now when I get board of Elsha.

I've got a Bruna deck. Mine is creatureless thou. Auras are kind of bad, so depending on suiting up other creatures feels kinda bad. Bruna gets around most problems with auras, so I prefer to just focus on her (which has the benefit of making it so I don't have to care about the cmc of any aura on the deck). The biggest problem with that approach is giving Bruna haste, but it's worth it anyway. Being creatureless also allows me to run a bunch of wraths. Other than that the deck is just azorius control.

Turn Aside/Rebuff the Wicked are fantastic counters for spells that target Bruna. Some new cards are also great: Blacksmith's Skill (target creature gets hexproof and indestructible until end of turn), You See a Guard Approach (tap target creature or target creature gets hexproof until end of tur n), both instants and W/U respectively. Faithful Mending, which is Faithless Looting but instant speed and in Azorius colors.

One card I find good in this deck is Mirror Mad Phantasm. Its a bit...ah... spicy... but it super satisfying milling 10-15 auras and then swinging with Bruna.

I would suggest the lethal trio: Eldrazi conscription, Battle mastery and Corrupted Conscience. With 2 of those, bruna becomes a ohko, so the game plan is to tutor those enchants while you defend her.

I do love a good Voltron deck, and this one’s pretty cool. The free counter spells are a bit too pricey for me, but a budget card I found recently that’s good for deflecting targeted removal is Turn Aside. It does work in my Shu Yun deck and I feel it might fit well here too.

It’s such a great effect for 1 mana, particularly if you’re playing a deck that’s really dependent on it’s Commander (like my Shu Yun deck where he’s the only creature). For 1 mana and 25 cents, what’s not to like?

The reserved list. In recent years demand for these cards has increased because of Commander and knowing they won't be reprinted drives up cost a LOT

when you are running counter spells not running the OG counter spell is criminal mana leak and Force of will or Force of Negation/Pact of negation are great for securing the kill And shit I love running Cryptic Command so Versatile Expensive to keep up 4 mana and pass tho The new Subtlety Evoke Elemental is just a great blue creature along with blue/white gods that count towards sigil and are a great target for Tron if you cannot get Bruna online or she was just removed
