My favourite version of this song has to be at Nidarosdomen. This is a close second. Yes, often and as we see here, she is one with the song and the emotional intensity shines through. Watching her live, she tends to be more "one" with the audience, especially in her more up beat numbers. Again, you see it in her face. A remarkable young woman.
No wonder this is one of her most important songs😍 I don’t see the similarity to the Bulgarians, to me this is “just” Aurora👍 Imo it has nothing to do with religion since Aurora isn’t a religious person To me it’s the lyrics, melody, her movements/expressions, basically everything that makes this song so beautiful. I saw a reactor once that said he didn’t like it when artists made a song where so much of it were without lyrics, he meant it was kinda laziness. I couldn’t disagree more, I think the part without lyrics is hauntingly beautiful💕 Fun fact: This whole song is in the sci fi series “The 100”, so I often see this scene in my head while listening to it, especially this version. Not so much with the Nidarosdomen version. I’m not sure which version I love the most, maybe Nidarosdomen 🤔 I don’t know, they’re both very beautiful😍😍
yeah, this would be the opposite of lazy. This is building a solid, thoughtful structure and flexing the talent to pull it off without any crutches, rather than covering inadequacies with noise. The similarity I see to the Bulgarians is in the type of harmonies. I don't believe this is religious, but I think people can have religious feelings about it depending on their sensibilities. That may be someone's source of comfort and that's fine too.
Dear Lill. We have seen each others comments in Auroras reactions and we have not all agree which performance is "the best" but we agree on the most important thing and that's Auroras greatness. She is simply one of a kind. I total agree on your thoughts on her vocalizing. They go even deeper into my soul than the lyrics. They combined make the song complete. Have a nice weekend dear!!
You know, for me, that reactior is all about the mind... hung up in lyrics. Sound is natural, organic and magical, when performed like AURoRA mostly do. For me, AURoRA tick off all my boxes. Love when the harmonies are almost perfect. The little imperfection, triggers, releases and let the sound heal, if we allow ourselves to heal. It is almost impossible to define and explain her sound, it has to be experienced. 😍
Ooooh, where to begin 🤔 AURoRA confirmed in an interview, what I've felt about her music. for her it's all about the creation of the music, she's one with it. I teach natural sound and voice liberation. One of the main elements is to learn to FEEL music again, like children often do. And I always love when a structured music piece has elements of nature/natural in it, and the musicians play outside the box. 🥰🥰 For me AURoRA is soundhealing- medicin for our 💕and souls.
