Just found your channel and subscribed, you a filling a gap in the hobby in Australia. I agree with you on the poor/lack of responses when pre-ordering new trains, we all understand COVID and factory delays may affect timelines but a simple response saying that your order has been received and will be filled in due course would help with buyers confidence.

G'day, great update as usual. The Trainorama 930 are due into Sydney 26th of this month, I was just emailed a confirmation of a recent order. Price rises to $325 once arrived. From a new model perspective, possible AL/ALF or bit of a niche but the NJ/1600 class.

Hi Will. Just became a new subscriber for your channel. My layout is OO scale DC, mostly Vic Rail and British rail stock, but anything to do with OO/HO scale kits are music to my ears. Like all your youtube videos especially on rail and tram museums. Like the way you present the articles in your videos, please keep up the good work. Fascinated on how much information you provide. We (My wife and I) have attended the Stawell rail show ever since of it's conception and we will keep an eye on your youtubes for the new dates for the Stawell show. Maybe your background could be a little lighter in colour so we and see what's on the shelves behind you, otherwise entertaining and informative a great big like from this end.

Nice work Will. Have seen a UK model rail news report and thought it would be nice if we had one here. Thank you. Would be great if the various manufacturers of all the scales out there got on board after all its promoting their product. As for me I'm modeling G scale and while there's Aussie models available in O scale there's not much in G scale that I'm aware of. Cheers and keep em coming.

I have reached out once so far with no real luck, I will certainly try again as the videos are growing in popularity and channel subscribers so hopefully next time I go back to them it’s a bit more impressive to them and they’ll be open to sharing more information. Fingers crossed anyway! Yeah is there really anything at all in G? I’m in a few garden groups on FB and it seems the majority if not all are scratch built!

A loco I'd like produced would be an SAR RX class. Regarding the Trainorama 930 class, it might be worth noting, although Trainorama diesels may only come in DC/DCC ready, they do in fact already have in-built speakers, so just fit a sound decoder in and voila!

Great Video! Its nice to see some of the Australian models popping up on youtube and your videos are really enjoyable to watch. I model Queensland myself, mostly the modern period with AURIZON but I have a few 90s era stuff as well. I have quite a few models I would like to see done one day. WATCO`s new WRA and WRB2170 class locomotives or the DGWY grain wagons they haul would be pretty cool or even AURIZON`s 2700 class rebuilt locos, the list go`s on haha. Anyways thankyou again for the great video!

@@WillJamesRailwaysYour very welcome! I run them on standard gauge myself which a lot of people will hate because it`s not prototypical but it`s easier for me and I started with standard gauge and the layout is still based in Queensland just on standard gauge rather then narrow. It does look better with narrow gauge track from what I`ve seen but converting rollingstock now would be a pain, also I would be able to run things from other states like the interstate BM/MB freighters without much trouble, just won`t be running prototypical length rakes with the room I have haha, oh well. thanks for the comment and again your very welcome Will!

Hi Will I’ve spoken to a guy in the WA model railway scene. Suggested selling on eBay or similar. That would be a big undertaking. Have forwarded details of the collection to Hattons in the U.K, and waiting to see what they offer. Cheers Ron

I think we need to crowdfund you a teleprompter. That's not a criticism, just a suggestion from someone who works at a creatives agency on a team that makes videos. The teleprompter made a massive difference to what we can say without taking your eyes off the camera. This is one of the quicker 'subscribe' decisions I've made in a while.

Agreed! My Eurkrea R can barely pull 4 E cars and needs its wheels painted, plus speaker and sound upgraded! I’ve never owned a brass one as I can justify the cost! Let’s hope someone does it!

I really enjoy the videos and stills that you insert between your reports because we don't see many Australian trains here in Arizona. The model I'd most like to see produced is the Auscision C class, "due 2018". I ordered one a few years ago, and I'm not getting any younger!

@@WillJamesRailways Occasionally, I'll see some OO Hornby or Dapol British trains. Same with European models in HO. But it's very rare. Even magazines that feature "foreign" trains, 1:1 scale or models, are rare. There's just so much North American product to choose from, and we just aren't exposed to anything else. And modelers tend to model what they see, anyway.

Great video Will! I didn’t know there was so much VIC rail models out there. I wish someone would produce a NSWGR Z26 or Z18 steam loco as all the brass models out there are becoming quite rare.

I mean there seems to be a lot, almost like there's more than other states represented, however I'm trying my hardest to find out more and more about other states representation in the scene! I guess I've always had a reasonable grasp on Vic stuff as it's what I've always been more interested in! An awesome suggestion, that would be a great model to be released, I can see Casula or maybe even Ixion perhaps making one or both in the future! I guess we'll wait and see! Plenty out there however most over priced. How quickly people forget that Lima made heaps of Victorian and indeed Australian models back in the day. So for those who model Australia l in the 60's through to even 1990's there is a bit of choice. Some say that many Lima productions were even better than the newer stuff today, and those people may have a valid point. That is an argument I will leave to others, but the Lima detail on most Australian rolling stock and locos runs rings around Hornby and others I would suggest. Personal opinion. And they keep their value as well. I bought a lot of Lima a couple of years ago when in England, and I have a close friend who can get quite a bit of what I want as well, so I am lucky in that regard and have the advantage in not having to pay exhorbitant prices here, and also costs much less for shipping.

@@WillJamesRailways You can and it has been done. Ian Black has even written a book on that very conversion. It is a fair amount of work though with higher level scratch building skills.

Absolutely, I've made some great friends being apart of that club, and I thoroughly enjoy being able to just run my trains around at the DCC General sessions. Thoroughly cathartic! I do! Loving the news, helps me find new models to buy and keeps me updated on current happenings in the modelling business mate, keep it up. Trainbuilder S class, H class and R class models should be released this month, have any intentions of getting any? I’ve ordered H220, S303, and R761 and plan on getting R711 to build a Steam Rail “Snow Train” set

Hey! I really appreciate that comment! As i mean that's what I'm trying to do to, to help promote the hobby! Ohhh i wish i was, unfortunately they're a little out of my price range, however i do very much want a Yarra or State Car at some point. That would be a fantastic train to create a set of! Oh absolutely! I wonder why Auscision didn’t do the Vinelander car transporters when they did the motor rail stuff? I reckon that’ll happen sometime in the near future, there seems to be a high demand on eBay for them at the moment. They’re going for over $1000 each! Thank you for watching!

G'day Will. Do you do anything for N scale, reviews, selling agents etc. It is a hard scale to authentitise on Australian railways. A bit of a push in the N scale direction would be helpful I'm sure.

Will,i would like to see Auscision, do another run of the V/Line N Class locomotive. Look at the price of them in EBAY and if they are releasing the Overland carriages, i would like to run twin N Class locomotives with them. Also,not a locomotive,but a rtr model of the Norman car. Cheers.

I agree with that John a release of the N class would be fantastic, I have seen them going for over $1000 which is well, a fair bit to steep in my honest opinion. Seems like now is the time for them to announce a new run. I believe there is a RTR of Norman from Trainbuilder, i mean i know its brass but I'm pretty sure they're either available or they seem to get a re run pretty often. Thank you for watching!

Really need to change the name of this video from "AUSTRALIAN MODEL RAILWAY NEWS" to "MOSTLY VICTORIAN MODEL RAILWAY NEWS". I'm still waiting for a rerun on the MRL Class Loco's plus it be nice if they also made the ore wagon to go with.

@@WillJamesRailways Its not your fault that WA has no big Model Railway following. I put that down to the fact that there is not as much railway usage here in the southern part of WA that a lot of folks can see. It is there, just more country side based plus what's up North aint as if its just around the corner. PS: I model everything that runs or enters into WA, both in Standard and Narrow Gauge, as well as the Big 4 up North.

You can come and visit my layout. It's a plywood central. Has an 8 level, 2 lane helix to nowhere at them moment, and is in WA. so probably won't see you, Will, seeming you don't seem to realise the rest of the country also has railways... May as well just change your channel name to: "Will James : Victorian Railways"..... I'm joking mate!! Love your work, shame about the Victorian bit... I'm joking again! Seriously, would like to have a bit of deeper history on Ausicion, SDS, Austrains etc. If anyone can do that its you Will.

I always have wanted to come to WA although with everything still going on it might be sometime! ahhh it's constantly playing on my mind to find more and more from other states to avoid the Victorian weighted stuff, really trying to keep it broad!
