I dont know how old ur child is, but you need to set aside everything you want to do for yourself aside, besides regular house work…find something that distracts your child whether it be youtube on the TV, the tablet, or whatever their favorite toy is, when theyre distracted get a chore done…other than that, to them, youre it…no need to be overwhelmed when you come to realize that nothing else matters but them and their growth in society
U probably already know this, but your life’s on hold for a while, your social life will never be the same, people will look at u weird in stores or at parks, and u just have to take it for the love of ur child, act like nothings wrong, because nothing is wrong. Its nature, act like ur lifes normal because it rly is
I think frumplestillskin i believe you said is your sons name is just being a normal kiddo some kids are just shy and some kids dont choose to interact i was like that and i dont have autism he throws thd tantrums because he see you pay attention to him just discipline is all i see he needs and hell be fine and kids loveeee stairs
Older autist here that can remember my early childhood vividly, 1-2 years old and maybe even earlier, remembering gramma using a scrub board, ice truck deliveries (yes I am that old), eating at first Mc Donald's. A common phrase then, "children should be heard not seen" suited my parents/me just fine. Bottom line ~~ I never had any interest in others, simultaneously craving human contact, that is autism. From early child thru retirement nothing much changes accept greater adaptation to solitude and relief most my misery is behind me. Your son is lucky to have a dad like you, my mother was my protector best friend and at least one person in my life to trust completely ~~ thanks for sharing ~~
Thank you for sharing. We are a family of introverts (accept our youngest daughter). We like to be alone as well. That works out well for our son. Thank you so much for the comment and for sharing your story. It means a lot to us.
I got this herbal supplement from Dr Oyalo channel and used it on my son for 4week and within the period of using it there was positive changes which really urge me to continue and I can say my son is free from autism now as his speech and social skill has improved
I'm guessing Frumpkin and Pumpkin are nicknames to protect them on social media? I really enjoy your channel by the way. I'm so glad FatheringAutism gave y'all a shoutout. I've been catching up on your story and you have an amazing family. Thank you for being so open about autism and everything that goes along with it. I learned to copy my peers very young so I was doing things like playing in the playground, but I'd also fill and empty buckets of sand over and over and want to use the exact same bucket and shovel, or do the monkey bars over and over in the exact same way... small example. Now that I think back on how my mom was the only person I made eye contact with until first or second grade, and my sensitivity to noises and textures even today, it shocks me I wasn't tested as a kid and am fighting to be tested now. But I'm 21 next month, and unless autism was fairly severe it seems the child was "painfully shy" or "gifted" or "really just interested by XYZ" or "emotional" or "hyper"... (I got a lot of the first three/four, depending on my age.) I wonder what early intervention would've done for me, but I'm still grateful for the knowledge I have now and being able to get testing later on.

Wow! That was just like watching my 3 year old son at the zoo! Uncanny how much it reminded me of him. He was diagnosed a couple months ago. He likes stairs too but he’s more obsessed with touching the railing. We have the same approach and just let him have his fun however he likes. I’m a bit worried about when his 4 month old brother gets older and wants to do something different, which might trigger meltdowns. Maybe I’ll find some helpful advice in your other videos. Take care!

Thank you. It understand me more about my nephew. At 6 years old he can only say 2 words, never a sentence; doesn’t play “interest” with his group age.. still had tantrums like a toddler.

Thank u so much for this video I am having my son evaluated for autism and after watching ur video I'm convinced that this is the right thing for us to do, he and ur son are very alike. We have our good days and our bad days but overall he is an awesome kid and I can tell from ur videos that your little guy is great kid as well!! Thanks again
I am glad to hear the video helped. I would highly recommend getting your child evaluated if you are concerned. Our son is super AWESOME. He is a lot of fun and super smart. Like any child, he has strengths and weaknesses. Right now, his speech is delayed, but he is ahead in math and knowing his alphabet. Thank you again for the comment. It encourages us to make more videos. Hope you and your family enjoy the end of the week. And give your son a big hug for us here at the Love household.

I'm starting to get into the process of trying to get my son evaluated to see if hes on the spectrum. And hes 4 almost 5 and he has a few red flags like the tantrums for "no reason", eye contact avoiding,He doesnt understand that things can hurt him. And now The obsessing thing you mentioned. My son does that all the time too.I'm so glad I found your channel!
Thank you. Sorry I didn’t see this comment till know. RU-vid has been not notifying me on comments, so I have to personally go through them. How did the evaluation go?

Amazing job Sir ! That is definitely helpfull ... I believe my son also has very similar mildest issues/symtoms ...pretty enough to be classed as ASD. Please do give me more advice. Thank You
My advice would be to get your son evaluated as soon as you can. You might need to get it approved by your pediatrician. Early diagnosis allows for more resources to be available.

Hi I just found your video. I have a question for you, what age were you able to potty train him? Or do you still have problems with that at this age? Thank you.

There isn’t officially different types of autism. At least not that I know of. My son would probably be considered “high functioning”, but there is such variety in autism, I’m not sure if that is helpful. He is great kid. He loves video games (like most kids his age) and is well above testing standards in his alphabet & numbers. I hope that helps.

My son is 4, has ASD, variously diagnosed with one or combos of: autism, ADD, ODD and social anxiety disorder. My son can fixate for hours on a repetitive task for pleasure. He has an unusual way of communicating, scripts a lot, adorns, meltdowns, and a supportive older brother. If we go to a park and he spends an hour throwing a rock in the air, so be it. That's his jam. He has therapy. His development defied expectations, but that seems to be a common story. Thank you for sharing your video. I don't know any other families who have an ASD child.
I have a 4 year old just diagnosed with autism and I get told frequently that he doesnt seem like the average autistic child because he makes eye contact, he talks, and hes ok (sometimes) in social settings but they don't see the obsessions, repititions, meltdowns, etc that make everyday so hard. Most people tell me hes just badly behaved and I need to crack down on him.Cracking down doesnt fix the brain...so it's been pretty isolating to say the least.glad to see other families who can relate.
We had that same struggle. I had a family member keep saying, “I’ve seen people with autism, your son doesn’t have autism.” It was annoying at first, then laughable that they think they’re an expert on the subject. They have come around now that my son is almost 6 because his repetitive behavior is more obvious in contrast to his peers. Thank you for the comment & have a wonderful week.
I have a son he’s 4 and he is autistic but his communication is great with me he tries to speak but he couldn’t so he gets frustrated and hits his head but I believe on God I know my son will be starting to speak very soon
We interviewed a man who is non-verbal & his mother in our autism channel. Here is the link if you are interested - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RIHNLWV_Tg0.html
My daughter behaves just like this, I suspect she is autistic. At first I thought it was just speech delay...but I see more and more her behaviours pointing to Autism
I would recommend getting your daughter diagnosed as early as possible. Initially, we were thinking our son was just delayed by speech. We even had speech therapist come to the house for about a year before we got our son in for an evaluation.

I think in his case he is not to be diagnosed with autism because kids have tantrums and some are shy and when older they come around to being more then fine. To the diagnosis video I was livid because it was a first time video and I wrote an essay like comment which if you look deep at what I am sharing about myself you will understand how children have stages such as these because at a few points in my childhood I would have been considered autistic but turn out that (in my case fear of skelletons) I went from being painfully shy to the most socially well adjusted and born leader and mastered everything in life. Some people are different and just let them bloom and give them love and anything they need. I KID YOU NOT I WOULD HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED autistic ( not that there is anything wrong because I had quirqs but they went away or transpired onto something society deems special/ gifted as I did very well academically and socially as from 4th grade on. I was top of my class, head cheerleader, on the school paper, ran track, etc....but as a young child I loved being with my grandmother and played alone as I preferred it sometimes. I just wanted to let you know this because it's true. I was actually quite popular the older I got like high school as everyone seemed to look up to me or imitated me in various ways. I am an Empath however which has its good and bad parts as it's good I am a natural lie detector but bad that I feel the hurt or suffering of all beings multiplied on myself. Just wanted to add that....and I love animals, always have.
I like how you did the comparison between your child and others your not "making fun" or making him seem different your just showing other parents signs.there child might have autism with little information

Hi, may I ask you, is your son officially been diagnosed Autistic? The reason I ask is because I have a grandson who is 4.5 years old now and he is being evaluated right now but I have the distinct feeling the doctor does NOT want to diagnose him with Autism. I'm just trying to find clips of other kids of similar age to compare my grandsons development and charachteristics and the more I watch clips like yours here? the more i am certain that he does show traits of Autism and ... yeah, I'm concerned to say the least. Many thanks and best wishes to you and your lovely little lad.
Not a problem. Yes, my son is officially diagnosed with autism. Here they have two diagnoses. One for medical diagnosis of autism & the other is educational diagnosis of autism. I hope that helps & I wish you and your grandson luck. ❤️

My daughter is turning 4 this summer and she still does not speak and has very similar behavior to your Child. I am really worried and I dont know what to do
Speak to your pediatrician, that's what we did. He recommended a few organizations that we could talk to, which is how we got our autism diagnosis. Good luck :)

I think i might have to go get my 3 year old tested. He puts his hands over his ears when he hears a somewhat loud noise like when grandpa starts up his truck. He'll also freak out if I get on the tractor or try to bring him on the tractor with me. Also lines up his hotwheels sometimes. But as far as communicating and making eye contact he's normal.
+eric sorenson lol. I tried to get him to blow his nose on his extract t-shirt, but he refused. I might have an extra Langer shirt laying around. I'll keep an eye out for one. This sinus issue has been going on forever.
