In this video, I begin my hike at Woolsthorpe Manor the birthplace of the esteemed scientist and mathematician, Isaac Newton. Born in 1642, he spent his youth in the countryside of Lincolnshire before attending Cambridge University.
The Great Plague forced him back to Lincolnshire where he made many of his important discoveries which have contributed massively to the world as we know it. I visit the National Trust cafe for a coffee and scone and then make my way to Colsterworth church to see the Remembrance Day preparations and to spot the sundial which Isaac Newton engraved as a child.
Afterwards, I continue the hike from Stoke Rochford church and make my way through the grounds to absorb the beautiful autumnal colour.
