Since I discovered avocado oil about 1 year ago, it has become my go to oil. All those health benefits are great, but I just really like it. I know fries are not the best thing to eat , but avocado oil makes the best fries, there's that high heat tolerance that allows me to make crispy, golden fries. Or hash browns.
Tallow fries with organic potatoes dipped in pasture raised eggs are amazing!! Seriously incredible! Frank Tufano on RU-vid walks you through it. Try it! I render my own fat from grass fed/finished beef fat.
I decided to give avocado oil a try for the first time after the AHA came out with their demonization of coconut oil. I must say I really like the taste and the fact it has a high smoke point making it very versatile. I'm not giving up on my og coconut oil however a little oil diversity doesn't hurt nobody
The AHA is still pedaling the diet-heart hypothesis and garbage epidemiological studies from Benjamin Ansel Keys. Do the opposite of anything the AHA says. Literally, take the food pyramid and flip it on its head. Ninja on my friend.
Omg! I used avocado oil on my hair and my hair came to life soft and even holds a curl...since good for arthritis I mixed some with shea butter and other oils...skin is extra soft...
I'm on Keto and I eat 1 Avocado a day. I must say it changed my life. I feel great!!! N i started frying chicken with a zero carb whey protein in avocado oil. Taste great n lite!!
Do NOT keep your avocado oil in the fridge if you're going to cook with it. That should have been specified. It drastically lowers the smoking point and inreases the amount of smoke. As a dressing its fine cold but cook it at room temp. Trust me, don't learn the hard way.
I use avocado oil on my skin from face to feet. It is amazing. I eat a raw vegan diet and eat one avocado a day. I feel amazing and a sense of euphoria daily.
Yea, me too Isabella😁you feel a nice release and a energy burst at the same time, I just recently started eating more veggies and slowing down on my In-N-Out Burgers 😁
An even better oil to fry in is beef tallow. And it’s not just fried food from fast food restaurants, it’s fried food from restaurants! If you are eating fried food from a deep fryer in a restaurant , from Burger King to a Michelin star restaurant, it’s been fried in inflammatory rancid poison seed oil like canola, cotton seed, corn oil or soybean oil.
I just used this oil for the first time on my salad. It is the best oil I ever had. I'm throwing out the canola and olive oil, and ordering a gallon online st a time of this..
Avocado oil has become my secret weapon in my keto lifestyle. I put it in practically everything. It's versatile and incredibly satiating. My version of Italian dressing for example is avocado oil, garlic powder, basil, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper. Shake it up and pour liberally over romain. It's delicious and really satisfies.
Thanks foe the video! But you did not exlain if the hemical structure of avocado oil will change after cooking due to heat or not. Most of vegetable oil's structure will change.
It's funny that I just saw this oil in the store 4 days ago. I was actually looking for chia seed oil and wound up buying hemp oil. Guess I'll go back and get the avocado oil. Thanks for the info Dr Axe.
So happy to know from the greatest and most knowledgeable dr..DR JOSH that AVACADO OIL IS THE BEST ..I use it all the time..great taste and light as ever..thank you for confirming its benefits..❤ looking forward to more interesting health beneficial videos!!
I also LOVE and endorse Avocado oil! Grapeseed oil has also been a favorite one of mine that you haven't mentioned. It has a smoke point of 446 degrees and also doesn't interfere with taste when cooking. At least for my self and family! Sometimes when I use Coconut or Avocado oil, certain people sense a different taste and ask me what it is! Have you ever had people say they can taste these oils and if you have any ideas for these (what I call) ultra-sensitive taste bud people, what they can do to make it taste-less to any degree? Thanks!
I'm using avocado oil for most everything but the doctor found out I have allergic to histamine😓 does avocado oil contain histamine or only avocado itself ??
That’s correct. It’s refine oil that has a higher heating acceptance. Hi sister he made a mistake when he said unrefined oil. Avocado has an eaten acceptance rate of 500 Fahrenheit, coconut oil has an acceptance rate of 450 Fahrenheit. Thanks olive oil has 380 Fahrenheit
GLYCERINE will soften and moisturize your skin. You can buy it from your local pharmacy or order online much more cheaply at Swanson.com. Just pour in your favorite lotion or apply to damp skin right out of the shower.
i originally bought a bottle of avacado oil to cook my frozen veggies on the stove with, just in a frying pan on high heat and stirring them aroudn until they absorbed the oil and were cooked enough to eat. But i sort of steered away from that and the avacado oil just sat on my shelf in the cabinet. However, i have been taking greens powders with lots of vitamin a, k, and e - the fat soluble vitamins, so i decided to try using the avacado oil in my drinks - i use a mason jar and shake the powder with water until it dissolves, i now add 1 teaspoon of the avacado oil into my drinks and shake it up to enhance the absorption of the vitamins that are fat soluble, since i dont eat much fat anyway other than fish oil, which is low in fat. I was just wondering if this is a good idea, or a bad idea? According to the video, its a good idea, but i never hear him or anyone else mention the use of avacado oil in this regard - in a drink, that you drink lol Anybody have any insight on this? I am using a brand thats pretty cheaap on amazon, around 7 bucks for a bottle - it taste good in the drink, but i need to know i am not killing myself by consuming this oil this way. Thank in advance
I took this on and decided putting avocado oil in my smoothie, about less than one table spoon a day. The end result was an increase of triglycerides and VLDL. Could you please explain why this may have happened?
Hey, Dr.Josh i need your advice: I've been using Primal Kitchen Avocado oils for some time now, after watching your video..I noticed mine isn't ORGANIC or UnRefined. I live in the US and have not had much look finding it in store or online... any help?
You are correct i was putting a small amount of olive oil on my salads then learned how to cut and cube an avocado sometimes mashing up half and slicing half and makes the salad taste better than the olive oil. Olive oil is processed food whole food tastes better and is better for us.
I seem to be allergic to fresh avocados. I get very nauseous:-( Could avocado oil be a better way to get the nutrients? I practice intermittent fasting and predominately keto for 20 hours. I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune CNS disease and with the exception of Avocados, all other fat sources are fine. Your insight and guidance is much appreciated!
Yes, but there are some food that taste better with different fat; personally I have olive oil for salads, avocado oil for for frying food that I don't want the taste to be altered, as it has nutral taste/smell, coconut oil for cooking in general, butter for baking and marinating . All 4 are great.
Hello Dr. Axe. I love your videos, they bring so much value. Thanks! Question: I recently purchased almond oil, and it has a smoke point of 480. wouldn't this be a better option than avocado oil which has a smoke point of 400?
Dr. Axe, you should use coconut activated charcoal to whiten your teeth naturally. It is how people 100 years ago like my grandmother whitened her teeth naturally. 😁😁😁😁😁😁
today I was in Wal Mart to buy an avocado oil, there were multi choices, but all of them were organic cold pressed, but REFINED. I didn't buy it yet, but need to understand is refined bad as a choice to buy???
