@@ArjunMangat69 actually, they have a lot of whole grain which IS good for you. Even the kid’s ones have 1/4 of how many grams you’re supposed to be eating in a day (48).
@@ArjunMangat69 ofc it's high calorie it's an energy bar 😂the irony lol idk if just trolling or just can't comprehend the difference between energy and protien bar cal=energy no?
Another misinformed video. Sucralose is not as bad or will hurt your gut if you're not eating an excessive amount which 99% of the time, you won't hit that. Quest is perfectly fine.
BIG FACTS. Protein bars SHOULD NOT HAVE: Canola oil, soybean oil, corn oil, sucralose in HIGH amounts, aspartame, acesulfame potassium(cancer causing carcinogens...),cane sugar & REGULAR granulated sugar & high fructose corn syrup! ALL of these cause inflammation ONLY in my body, since I run keto/IF. Ingredients MATTER.
@@luke.pancake I am a “thin” person and I tell people this all the time. It’s not about being restrictive, it’s about finding the balance that works best for your body and the outcome you want to achieve.
@@luke.pancake wrong. I’m 5’4” and 109 pounds (18.7 BMI), and I agree, everything can be eaten in moderation. You clearly have no idea how dieting and working out works. You lose weight by going into a calorie deficit and can still eat small amounts of food you love as long as you don’t go over your intended calories for the day.
I'm a fitness trainer/ nutritionist and I recommend quest, one, pure protein for grocery store buys but my go to is built bar, grenade and misfits.. I hate these misinformed videos 🤦
Pure has been my favorite bar for some years now! For being in a deficit it’s a great bar to have for a snack if needed and it packs a ton of protein for 180 calories 🔥 I’m not complaining 😭🤣
It’s called a protein bar, not a health bar. The quest is completely fine as it has a ton of protein. You’re preferred “healthiest” protein bar probably has like 400 calories and 9g of protein but has no sucralose so it’s supposed to be good for you. That’s BS. When you eat a protein bar, you’re looking for something that is high in protein compared to the calories it has, not what types of additives it has
My personal favorite is NoCow. 190-210 calories for 20-23g protein, short-ish ingredient list that you can pronounce, no artificial flavors or sweeteners, and imo they're quite tasty. I was honestly hesitant to try them because they're vegan and zero sugar (that's great but those things are usually a bit odd in flavor or texture) but I was pleasantly surprised! I've enjoyed most flavors but my favorite is the peanut butter chocolate chip :)
Quest protein bars aren’t advertised as healthy in the first place lol, it’s a protein bar, fillled with artificial compounds. And the cliff bars aren’t a protein bar in the first place lol it’s an energy bar. This guy sucks
The best option is the one you'll eat. There are ones that have "better" nutritional profiles, but if you won't eat them because you dislike them, there's no point in buying them. Clif bars are nutritionally "better" than conventional granola bars (like Quaker or nature valley), and tbh they're the only protein/energy bar I've found so far that has both a tolerable texture and taste- and I've tried a lot! Also, you know how many chemicals cherries have in them? Just as many as that quest bar! More ingredients doesn't necessarily = "bad"
Health aspects aside. I used to be a fan of quest when I tried their cookies and cream protein bars for the first time. Tasted just like what an ice cream would, so I thought I would like it. Then tried the other flavors. Realized that they all basically kind of tasted the same. Using the same base I think. It was the lack of variety that got me a bit bored. The quest cookies were also just the bars, but in a cookie shape. So got tired of that pretty quickly.
There’s nothing wrong with Sucralose. Most of us breathe air that contains harmful pollutants, are you going to tell us not to breathe? Some people have never heard about analyzing risk to reward
Not all Quest Bars have sucralose educate yourself the peanut butter chocolate does not the chocolate chunk does not and there are other ones, that contains 0 sucralose just Stevia as a sweetener
Pure Protein bars are recomended for kidney disease patient due to the lower potassium and phosphates and they are a great way to get closer to protein goals without eating as much animal protein.
I'd like to mention that any scientist can be paid to downplay or outright ignore negative effects and it has happened with Coca-Cola and the cigarette industry. Always research both sides and then form your own opinion.
soy is not a problem.. what "THESE" videos always miss is the amount of things you need per day over time before it is a problem. Even water can be deadly. so think.
It’s called a “protein” bar not a health bar…and besides I found out that just because something is healthy, doesn’t mean it’s healthy when looking at macro nutrients instead of ingredients, another thing is you need to be doing some form of exercise or healthy routine to make it count, otherwise it’s useless
Keep eating it! If you love something you shouldn’t restrict it from your diet completely. Oftentimes it leads to failed diet plans and it can affect your mental health too. I agree that it is unfair to label everything bad because it contains sugar. Read the ingredients yes but also read the nutrition label! 1g of sugar for a protein bar is WAYY better than the ones that have 15g of added sugars. It may not be PERFECT, but it’s a better and healthier alternative that keeps you happy and satisfies your dietary needs. That’s what matters in my opinion! 🙂
its actually a sugar replacement its used for diabetic to have sweets without a spike in sugar. also if you see the box its on the lowest ingredients on the list. so tip if you see it on the bottom then it means they used less of that ingredient. so eat one a day or drinking diet soda wouldn't hurt you its when you're have a massive amount of it can cause problems. even diabetic nutritional doctors even stated that having to much can cause problems.
I would recommend an RX bar, they’re very good and have very clean and whole ingredients. Only drawback is that they have a smaller amount of protein than most of the more processed bars, but still a decent amount.
It's a blanket term for usually unregulated ingredients. Companies will add addictive chemicals to keep people hooked on their food. It's legal gray area so companies can pretty much add ANYTHING.
Quest cookie soft ones peanut butter and the chocolate chip wow they are like real thing them Larry’s cookies are good it’s huge but it’s protein I had swap any sweats for them bats
Soy is an excellent source of protein and nutrients. It’s health benefits are numerous and it’s drawbacks are the result of poor research and/or bias confirmation.
Fuck any “protein” bar. Buy yourself some almonds, cashews, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, sun flower seed and peanuts and make your own bars. Add real chocolate or bind them with honey peanuts butter what ever you’d like. So much better and so much healthier for you.
brah cliff is for backpacking/climbing. it’s calorie and sugar dense since you are trying to get energy in with as little weight as possible. It would be ridiculous to go to the gym and then eat a cliff bar thinking you’re eating healthily
it’s called a protein bar not a health bar all i care about is the protein to calorie ratio and quest is perfect imo plus they’re like 8 dollars per box they wouldn’t sell the way they do if they weren’t a legit source of protein the store i buy them from are always sold out of at least one or more flavors
On another video the comments wwre saying how great the quest bars were... Bloody hell i just want something decent for me that doesn't taste half bad!
Let's all just eat rain water cookies or cookies made strictly from tiger nut and insects then man... It's like everytime I turn around something is funky with the food no matter how healthy it is.. At this point it's cloud cakes, rainwater, and bugs for everyone or is that bad too 🙄
Pure protein are some of the best tasting I’ve ever tried and they’re cheap to boot. Artificial sweeteners have not been shown to damage gut biomes unless consumed in excessive amounts. You are categorically wrong about every point made in this video.
