Sorry, even AVS does not know how to properly install their own product. This method will keep interfering with the proper closing of your window. You are supposed to NOT install the side flanges in the the channel, but rather outside the channel and tuck it between the window frame and the gasket. Hope this helps and makes sense.
Yep and the instructions are very vague even in writing, and when I contacted them, they continued to act like I was a idiot and installed it wrong (which technically I did due to their own instructions)
@@mikeverre7108 I was able to solve the problems I was having by using a small file to sand down the tiny corners inside the door edge so that the window wouldn't make contact with them. You can't see where I filed, from any angle so the modification is basically invisible. Still sad that I had to do that to them, but other than that it worked out okay
My 06 f150 has the window rubber inside and out of door frame. Unlike the truck shown where it's only inside.. Am i to cut my rubber? Hmmm. Avs good product, shitty support / instructions
i have put the in channel visors on my 2006 F-150 King Ranch. The first time, my windows wouldn't shut and the visors warped as if they were in 200 degree heat. I returned them and they sent me the same model, once in they had the same result. I emailed them my issue and they sent me a brand new set, same model and since it was winter time and I had my Driver's Education car I waited until spring. I put them on and the looked great for about 2 days then they warped again. I don't know if it is my truck or what. Maybe in channel are not what will work for me. After emailing again and sending in pictures they are sending me another set. I am hesitant to put them on now.
They fit my 22 Subaru Outback perfectly, until I try to put the windows up, smh. I called AVS and they sent me a link to this video, which was not much help. I called the supplier and he knew right away the issue, and is exchanging them for the outside visors. He said the Subaru’s are especially sensitive so they just won’t work. My point is, the supplier was much more helpful than the manufacturer, sad to say.
Finally got them in and got the windows up. Will keep them closed for 72 hours and see what happens. I doubt they will hold. They don't even give you glue on the front ones towards the mirror. It just hangs there. Pretty sure they are garbage. Never had this kind of installation problems on my last 2004 Durango.
