Bahrain Royal 747SP coming from the Lufthansa Technik. Very close taxi and takeoff. Although I've seen that plane in action before, I was surprised how loud it is. I am nearly deaf now... Enjoy!
This aircraft could get you across the pond JFK-LIS in 5 1/4 hours without breaking a sweat. Had the privilege to be in one when TWA replaced a broken L1011 for a flight back in the 80s. The takeoff was quick and felt unlike other commercial airliners.
Cannot think of a better plane than this SP, as the name mentions everything is special in it, the extra long and strong vertical stabilizer, for its size its still given 4 power plants , its got two passenger levels even though its smaller in size, for sure its a collector's air plane made for pleasure and comfort putting economy at the back seat.
Lovely aircraft! My fantasy would be to own a decommissioned Luxury Boeing 747SP parked in a private field I own, and used as a permanent residence. 😃👍

I thought that B747SP-Z5 looks like a military variant, like why she has an extra hump and some slightly different antennas. Similar to the Boeing E-4.
I kinda want to know why this is the only variant of the 747 without a Freighter version avaliable. I mean sure I get its short but it could get in and out of small airports with heavier loads than some aircraft.
The 747SP was built for airlines as a long-range airliner. At the time, there wasn't a demand for long-range freighters so they never built them in a freighter configuration. Only 45 747SP variants were ever built and with several being destroyed in crashes or other incidents, there were not many to convert into freighters after service as airliners. Also, the 747SP was not very fuel-efficient, meaning that the cost of operating one was extremely high. Seeing as there were more 747 models that were cheaper to run and larger in capacity, no freight company purchased a 747SP. Hope this helped.
from far away looks like a really long and huge jumbo 747 but when it get closer it seems like a toy 😂😂 it feels like something is off seeing it that small, looks like it’s edited
