I really like this channel cause it's not all about who has the nicest fastest cars that 99% of people will never be able to afford or be able to build. You also are an animal!
Bro this is the most ingenious s*** I've ever seen when it comes to using what you have and rebuilding s***. Thank you it gives me hope for the little del Sol that I just got given to me and I found out that it's got all wheel disc brakes it's a special edition and it's got a turbo already LOL I can't wait I just got to find Wheels to get it on the trailer so I can get it home no title so you know what that means, and a pikes peak run baby
Glad to see this car go out with a bang. This thing would of already been in the yard crushed but it gets one last go with it being RWD.. How it should of came OEM.
Great vid, I like cuts to all the important bits. Most of the mid-engine Honda builds I see rarely make it to the driving stage. One bit of advice: reconfigure the rear suspension asap. It's set as FWD, which is usually designed with anti-dive geometry. When used in the rear, anti-squat becomes pro-dive (multiplies squatting on acceleration).
I feel it. I don’t plan on changing the geometry of it but I do plan to lower the front to match the ride or a tad lower so it’s almost level on acceleration for sure. The dive in the rear will transfer enough weight to almost guarantees traction
Man, not even joking this concept is my dream car, this or a CRX. Got a wild question for ya.. I've seen a build of a twin engine VW Scirocco rally car where it used two 1.8L motors. The thing that caught my eye is that it they had ran various setups, normally each engine supercharged. But sometimes one supercharged, one not. They never matched gears, or transmissions as it didn't seem to matter that much. They ran the front engine with an automatic transmission, and the rear with a 5 speed manual I think. I'd love to see a similar build with a Honda. I think it'd make a great autocross, rally, or just fun slide car. The automatic FWD would make a nice stabilizer in a slide as it will automatically downshift the more throttle you put. I'm not sure of the possibility with compatible parts (throttle, shifters etc) but a rear engine D series, with a front engine B would keep it a FWD bias car, kinda retaining the stock Honda handling, and vice versa would create a oversteer happy AWD car. Just a thought haha. I'd love to see a D16 rear, B20 front setup. Some big bore / big stroke up front, rear with something smaller for a flat out point and shoot driving style car. Plus you could just leave the rear engine out of gear, and FWD reliable daily hahaa. Would be weird to have the clutch down, give it gas, and it moves..
I was wondering how good a del sol would be a for side by side build. My grand idea is that i could put an B series in the front and then an H series in the back 😂 idk if it'd work but i believe the H and B series can use the same transmissions so i think its possible
Never thought I'd see Tennessee shit in Ohio. Love the work y'all put in. Keep this shit up! Fuck put a donation button on your page, Hell I'd love to help out. #RIPHarambe
I honestly plan to daily drive this one. I have a 93 dash, which deletes the passenger air bag. Heat for the cool nights, and I should be able to cruise with my daughter once the firewalls finished up.
