i must have watched this video at least 10 times! finally got my B16B, gonna throw it in soon. i don't think i would have been motivated to do it without this video.
Just finished my B18C swap on my channel and kept the AC as well. I am surprised so many people don't think they can do it. All you need is the B20 AC bracket from the junkyard and your EK civic compressor bolts right up.
Stauffer Garage what worries me is I got a 96obd2 del sol and a 93 b16a Jdm swapped one. I'm swapping engines from mine d16y7 to the old one and the b16a to mine. But so many confusing on google
Stauffer Garage I would like to know more about to connect vtec I have a 89 ef hatch thinking going b16a what harness should I used it's ob0 harness ??
Okay guys I know you're asking about you know everything Bolton up I mean if you usually doing a swap you should well or at least try to find someone you know make a cut out of the bracket you know and just make your own bracket it really not that difficult I have a piece of metal cut out make your own bracket I mean you know make it to fit you know even if the bracket you can't find it you know find one it looks like it or Draw yourself out of bracket lining up your bullet holes and do it yourself really I mean have a piece of steel cut to go somewhere and have it done
This is the video that convinced me to swap my ek hatch years ago. I was anti-“ricer” and had a stock 99 Civic as a daily. Started kinda wanting more power and this video settled it for me. 5-6 years on and I’m fully a Honda head. This is where it all began.
By far the best B series swap video I have ever seen. I am doing a b18 type r swap in my civic ex. first swap ever and I am really nervous and this helped a lot. thanks everyone.
I had a 90 hatch with a i/h/e stock b16a2 w matching trans in it & even fully gutted no passenger seat it didn't seem as fast as this ek lol great vid, makes me want to swap my crx now!
nicely done, very detailed in explaining the swap and types/ bolt sizes when removing parts. I haven't touched or done a honda swap for years, this would have been very helpful when I had my Honda. Great work guys
Lots of good information! I think i can put my 98 B18C1 into My 93 Hatchback Si after watching this video thanks a lot guys keep up the good work! cheers from California
B16B is a great engine. In fact the plan was to swap a B16B engine in the car but the SiR B16 came up as less expensive opportunity pulling it out of a totaled car.
Great videos man! For some reason now I want to get a 92 EG and build a sleeper civic! If a get one some day I totally get it to HSG to get it DONE! 👊🏻
You Guys are soooo cool! I'll watch you guys all day and gain some knowledge than watch the junk on tv. Thanks for passing on the Knowledge!!! STaff Sergent Ron C., USAF
Done many Honda swaps over the years my first was a LS in to my 91 CRX Si way back in like 95 We always dropped the engine\trans out the bottom this is the first time i've seen anyone pull the engine from the top on a Honda
+Richard Ojeda if you go with a gsr b18c1 use a skunk2/blox type R style intake manifold. the gsr dual runner "snail" style manifold sits to close to the firewall. causing the tps sensor to break from time to time. I had one at one time it was a pain lol.
Followed norily the biscep roteri conjection removal I also noticed the cti compacter engine fitts no need for retorliri conception all in all great timing Boss Rule the road Rj solid#snake
Great video!I have a D16y7 and swapping to a B16a2. I was thinking of maybe use the y7 wiring, but I am not sure what connector I need to add vtec and what wire on the iacv I need to remove. Could you guy make a quick "how to" video on the y7 wiring?
Is there any chance I could get a full part list for a b16 swap. Plus a video on the loom modifications? Great video, I thought it would have been a harder conversion. How long would you think it would take for a first timer? Would be doing it on a daily so be nice to have a tough time the car maybe of the road. Or would you suggest a different swap like the d15? I eventually want to turbo it. Cheers keep up the good work
Damn sick I finally got another Honda this time a 95 accord has a jdm f22b swap but is it worth keeping it n building it or should I swap a deferent motor keep up the sick videos mad props
Mark, on your Bseries AC Bracket, are you using the D series tensioner pulley as well? I have the Bseries AC Bracket and am B16a swapping my EG Sedan and haven't gotten to installing the bracket or AC yet but am curious if you used the D series tensioner pulley
