In this video, I show you how I changed my water pump and thermostat on my B8 S4. The process is pretty straight forward, but time consuming. Luckily I did not have to remove the entire radiator support. Instead, I got away with using longer bolts (M10x1.5, 90mm in length) to slide the radiator support forward--a similar process when upgrading the supercharger pulley.
I took off the thermostat by moving the fuel line out of the way after removing one bolt.
In order to remove the front coolant pipe, take out the 4 bolts holding the pipe to the engine block, and apply gradual heat to the thermostat to help loosen the pipe from it.
