Nice job cutting out around all those protrusions. Maco makes lots of specialty hand tools for multiple trades. I have bought mostly tools for commercial hvac sheetmetal like notchers, crimpers, tongs, hammers, ear benders, shears, awls and even lock tools for snap lock pipe. Can't wait to see the inside ceiling finished 🤩

You made a very wise choice in choosing Hardy board cement siding. A builder built our house in 1992, and by 2021 the siding was completely rotten. We had all that cheap siding taken off and clad it with Hardy board. That cost us big bucks to do but the siding should last well after I'm gone. That side of the house is really pretty with those windows. Looking good!!
@TKCL

It's a great product, rot free, does not burn and bugs hate it.

We bricked our house except for the front and rear porch insets where we used Hardi-Board. They have LP SmartSiding panels now I don't think they had when we built...I think I would have used that if I'd have seen it. Your house is coming along fine, congratulations!
@TKCL

The pressed osb panels still concern me. I personally think fiber cement is a better product than LP.

@@TKCL considering that a tile job like yours should take 3 to 4 day's time. Then all depending if you ordered your glass for the shower all I see is you are missing flooring in bedroom to have your bed inside it. At that time you just need that celing done. At your past i suggest 6 weeks all done. But since I am impressed how you done it on your own self. That friend is the impressive bit. And without all the tools but you doing it. And bought some tools as you needed em. The one I really like is the lift platform thing and how you also used your tractor... you have an amazing mind to seeks solutions. I not approve of everything you did. But mostly due to a diffrent climate. As I live in.
@TKCL
@TKCL 2 года назад
Getting there slowly and surely, some setbacks are known and some will sneak up as expected. Still a long punch list of small things to do.
@dancharron7098
@dancharron7098 2 года назад
@@TKCL well I get that some things are at issues. If I was you I would get them counters guys in and the bathroom fixtures in ASAP including glass for showers. As you need to get on the list. The wood for the celing of your livingroom you need to understand it does not have to be the best cut. Just not too thick so it can be bent into position and remember to stagger it. The rough look of the knots in the pine will make it feel rustic and can make it feel like home. The best part it makes conversation. I have had the 2 options in my past homes. And the not perfect was more attractive when done. The perfect ended up painted white. How odd. It was the most expenceive.

Thanks for the video. Great work. I keep seeing you have to hammer tap those nails in after they are driven by the nail gun. There is supposed to be something you can adjust on the gun so that they go in properly without needing to hammer after. Does thst feature on that model not work correctly?
@TKCL

That's very true, but that's not the case once you shoot a nail into the board when the hangers are holding it off the wall. There is always slack to take up.
