I love your reflection at the end. I have backpacked GC hard trails 3 times already but you have accurately put into words that others like me will agree/understand about the full GC experiences.
I was very glad I had a few minutes to stop by the canyon rim & gather my thoughts on video while the experience was still fresh. Far too often I finish up a hike, have to rush back to civilization, and don’t have time to do that.
It’s hard to say, I think this itinerary was my 2nd or 3rd choice. I applied again the following year for a slightly longer route in April & had no luck.
Might want to check the date on your caption. Unless you traveled to the future to hike out and post this in the past. I think you either meant April 2020 or March 2021. Still like the beard, though.
