I have 2 houses with alkalinity levels at 250+ every week for the past 4 months i added bp200 and the water turned claudy is this the reason why ? Doesnt clear up the hour i am at the property but ive never gotten a complaint after i leave or the next day

What's your PH like? The higher the PH the more of a tendency for things to fall out of solution (cloudiness). Also, cloudiness could be caused either from a lack of chlorine or a high TDS. Check those two things as well. Try to get that alkalinity down too. Good luck!

Chlorine is at 7.5 ph is at 7.6 i dont know if its the water in the neighborhood house next to it is the same but another development across the street waters TA is fine do you think the calcium in the water mihht be high and causing the cloudy effect whem i pour the bp200

My biggest “freak out” moment was when I added yellow out and muriatic acid right after in the same area. It created what looked like a deep yellow stain that kept growing!!! I freaked out and tried brushing it but it wasn’t coming off. Eventually they diluted enough and it went away, only look about 2 mins but that was terrifying lol.

Oh yea Yellow Out is a fun one too. I've had clients come out and ask if I peed in the pool after adding it. I remember the first time I added it and got that reaction with Chlorine it seemed to take forever to finally go away haha. Have a good day man.

You can use a flocculant or alum to drop it to the bottom and vac to waste in a day or two hopefully it had a proper waste line or mpv.

Absolutely spot on. I don't remember that pool of my friends too well so I'm not sure. He had a port a vac so I didn't ask that question! Thanks for watching.
