she played joffrey so well. cersei was scared of her. her mind, her beauty, the way she made the people love her, her power. she could’ve become more powerful than cersei and cersei couldn’t have that.

The entire crossbow scene is a masterclass in subtlety. Started with him pointing it at her and ended with her pointing it at his reflection.

Margaery is my favorite female character. She was clever, charismatic and sexy. Margaery didn't have a malicious bone in her body and yet she always outsmarted Cersei. It just proves that you don't need to be cruel to get what you want.

I miss Margery and Olenna , they always know what to say . One of the smartest and powerful character in GoT .. I always thought Olenna is Tywin versiom of a female and Margery is a better version of Olenna , still young but smarter , even for Cercei to handle .

I felt so bad for Tommen when Margaery died. All the awful politics and backstabbing aside, I think they would have been happy together. Margaery may had been manipulative but she never seemed like a bad sort.

I hate that she died. She was one of my favorite along with Arya. And I love them both for completely opposite reasons. Margeary is such a good representation of what I’m sure women of the time must’ve been like. Taught to hold their tongues and that they’re property, but in reality just playing their role and using that “inferiority” to manipulate their spouse and those around them to get shit done in the world without the blame shifting to themselves. Arya is the complete opposite, sharp tongued, unwilling to bend, always in the front line fighting the fight head on. And it makes her just as wonderful and interesting of a person. But more than that they’re both such well written characters, a lot of female characters are lacking in shows and movies just used as a love interest and eye candy but these two are how women should be written into television, rich characters who’s entire plot is reliant on a romance or a man.

Margery was such a badass. Smartest cookie playing for the power card.

Margaery’s mistake was flexing too early. She revealed her cards too quickly. Should’ve held back and played the fool a little longer rather than flashing her aces so fast. A better plan would have been to appear to play second fiddle to Cersei to avoid having a target on her back, and let the queen mother take all the attention she wants from enemies of the iron throne.

She was the smartest, non-evil character. Her down-fall was that she did not know how evil Cercei could get.

I think Joffrey was dreadful, but somehow Margaery managed to find the tiny part of him that Circe had buried. The possibility that the poor weren’t disgusting and that that if he didn’t listen to his mother, he might be a half decent king. It would be interesting to see a different timeline of that. If she could have helped round out his sharp corners and curbed his violent impulses.

I loved Margery. So empathic, so generous, so kind. But she scared me. Such a changing, such chameleon, such a schemer. One could never tell what her real thoughts were, her feelings. She would have done almost anything to win.. almost. Had it not been for Cersei and her damn stupidity, I believe Margery would have been queen, found a way to negotiate with Dany, and she still would have won. I know he was a psycho but sometimes I wonder what Joffrey would do if someone killed Margaery while they were together. He would have torn the world apart the second she was hurt. May be a little bit over the top, but it sure is romantic. Villains would kill anyone for the people they love, and that is why people love them.

Although irritated by his naivety, I think Margaery genuinely liked Tommen. In time, she could have taught him how to play the game and he could help her let her guard down and be authentic in their private moments. They would have been a powerful couple. But it wasn't meant to be.
