Great review, thanks. You just saved me from making a poor purchase. The absolute deal breaker for me is the lack of a draw string around the hood. Call me a cynic if you will but I am always wary of products that are heavily advertised on RU-vid and then come with a massive discount. However their advertising has worked in one way; I didn't realise that I needed a 'tactical' hoodie until I saw theirs. Now thanks to you I'm off down to the store to check out what the competition has to offer.😂

So glad I watch reviews "mainly yours" on this because I had questions before buying this... looked good in ads but think I'm finding a better alternative.

The ad popped up and I clicked because it seemed like a decent hoodie. The first red flag was the instant deep discount. The second red flag was ticking clock to buy. I almost clicked buy, when I decided to see if anyone had reviewed it. Thank you - this is exactly what I was looking for. I did not buy.

Outstanding review, thank you! I was seriously considering ordering one of these hoodies, but the multitude of flaws, lack of garment final inspection, and Made in China made me decide NOT to order one. thanks, again, for the review.

Women's zippers and buttons are traditionally on the left because historically buttons were worn by wealthy women who had maids dress them. The maids were mostly right handed, so it was for their convenience. The tradition held through the invention of the zipper, and continues to this day. Great review, chased me away from this come-on.

I've noticed a trend: If it's advertised on RU-vid there's a 95% chance it's a scam or absolute garbage.

I'm taking this as a lesson learned, the power of marketing is powerful. I can find the same perhaps better for less at Costco, I take that back not with inflation prices the way they are. I almost bought this myself thanks for saving me. What really got me to research this more, was the fitting chart. That chart is for midget circus acrobats no joke. Anyways, I found my answer thanks again!

Thanks for warning me off of this - it looks surprisingly cheap. It's not even lined! And about the: "Oh, we changed the design and took out a couple of the features you paid for." You're a generous man for not busting them for false advertising. I was on the site just now (April 2, 2022) and the pictures on that site look exactly the same as before - they show a pocket on each lower arm area, but you didn't get one. I don't trust them. I got a cheap hoodie at Grocery Outlet, of all places, and it lasted a long, long time. The inside wasn't lined either, but you could reach into the space between the jacket and the outside pocket was actually useable as an inside pocket! It had 4 real pockets, all with zippers, and it was $10. I guess that made it a tactical hoodie. Not to get too gross, but after surgery years ago, I had to have drains for a couple of weeks. I slipped the bulbs into those "bonus" pockets and I could go stealth and go back to work without embarrassment. I'd REALLY like to see a review of your favorite jackets/outerwear/hoodies with the right pockets for the job, like the one you wore under the Baerskin hoodie. Bonus points if you find any good ones for Left-handers. My right arm can't do the job because I snapped a bicep tendon up at the shoulder a couple of years ago and it couldn't be repaired, so my equipment has to be left-handed. More expensive, but at least I can use it! P.S. Much respect for your service. My grandpa was a Kentucky country boy who volunteered to serve in WWII. He was a 101st Airborne Paratrooper, accidentally dropped behind enemy lines during the Battle of the Bulge. He got hit in midair by flak, and Nazis operated on him to save his life so they could torture him for information (he had a field commission & they thought he knew battle plans). So he escaped, got captured again, then the war ended. Anyway, he shouted in his sleep every night for the rest of his life, "fightin' them krauts." he was the best man I've ever known. So thanks for doing your part. I know I'm not objective, but I tend to assume people who are or have been in the Service are good people.

I too was going to purchase one for my son. After watching your review i changed my mind. I agree with everything you said. The advertisement is a bit deceiving. Thank you for the honest review.

I would suggest people avoid the Baerskin products and company completely. I ordered in early October 2022, after a month, they shipped my order and provided a tracking number. The tracking number stopped tracking on Nov 23 with the statement "flight arrived". There is no way to track after this. I've messaged the company and emailed them several times to follow up on my order, which is over $300 worth of product, and they send an auto message that delivery "takes time". There is NO phone number that I can find to actually call them and they will not "live Chat" like their website says. It doesn't work. You have to leave a message on their chat and they say they will respond via email. Sometimes they respond, sometimes they do not. This is not near a reliable way to do business. I've asked for a refund and I bet I'll never hear a work back. BUYER BEWARE!

Great review! All the info one needed to make an educated decision to buy / no buy. . Imagine buying this for someone as a gift w those flaws. I’d be embarrassed . This company needs to get this stuff corrected. When you don’t put your name on it there’s a reason. But a spectacular review thank you.

Left and Right handed zips are to do with who is dressing the wearer. Men typically dressed themselves/buttoned their own shirts/did jackets up, where as woman in corsets and rear-fastening clothing were dressed and the zips/buttons were arranged for the dresser/maid.

After reading your very thoughtful and unbiased review highlighting your pros and revealing your personal cons, I would never consider this purchase. You are unusually kind in somewhat dismissing the various flaws as not game changing but after reading other reviews, you might have had to get into overtime to get cooperation from customer service. You are very much appreciated by me.

Couldn't agree more. We need RU-vid to enforce a truth in origin for their commercials. I bought the BÆRSkin 2.0, which did address some of your concerns. Cost more, too. I have sworn off buying from other countries whenever possible. It is hard to do.

So glad to see an honest review, I've seen other reviews where you can see they are just parroting the commercial, what a joke! I have a hoodie like this, (but made of cotton) I bought years ago from Forman mills. In time I expect to see these hoodies there as well LoL

Thumb holes are for putting layer over it, also many inside pockets have a spot for ear phone cords even though most people that use iPods etc are now wireless .Great review appreciate the honest assessment

Great review chief. It's basically a wish item. I bought 2 of the waterproof duckskin type which is exactly the same design which was roughly £40 each a few years ago. I'm totally with you on all opinions

Bearskin Hoodie "appears" to be a scam. Ordered it, paid for it, never got it. Tried to contact the company, no luck. Time will tell if it ever shows up. It really looks good in the advert and wanted to try it out.

Ordered in November and no product delivered yet. Getting the customer service run around from a third-party customer service vendor. Probably will have to do a charge back. Looks like a Chinese company. I think it may very well be a scam. They push the sales but not delivering. Buyer beware...

I received my bearskin hoodie today and have been left pretty underwhelmed by it. To be honest, it's not something I would normally wear and only bought it because a friend suggested it, as I am off on a road trip through central Australia, and he thought it would be ideal on those cold nights. To me the hoodie looks pretty cheap. It has no style to it and is not made from the best material. I will be giving it to my friend as a gift, but gee, I wished I had come across your video prior to placing my order. Oh well, we live and learn, as they say. Thanks for the upload.

Real review here. If your a big guy don't bother, their 3x is not a 3x. If your tall don't bother, way too short. If you like timely customer service and fast shipping, don't bother. They ghost you for weeks and it takes a month or more to ship while you wait wondering if the company even exists at all.

Finally arrived today. Just over a two month wait. The advertising of this product makes it look amazing. The actual three jackets I ordered are underwhelming. It's just a fleece with cheap zippers. The actual product does not live up to the advertising videos. Go to Walmart and you can get a similar product, but with better zippers.

Interesting video. Yours looks almost identical to a jacket I recently bought on Amazon UK for £35 (approx $45) - even down to the thumb loops and the wrongly-configured zip. I may be wrong, but this suggests to me that Baerskin have been buying in generic chinese jackets, repackaging and then marketing them for a premium price.
