溫水 lukewarm water 160ml+-
细砂糖 caster sugar 10g / 1.5Tbsp
即溶酵母 instant yeast 2g / 1/2tsp
高筋面粉 bread flour 250g / 1,3/4cup
海鹽 sea salt 4g / 1tsp
清水 water 1000ml
黑糖 molasses sugar 30g / 1/8cup
摄氏200 / 华氏390 烘烤 17-20分钟
bake at 200°C / 390°F for 17-20 minutes

I make it 2 days in a roll , I double the recipe , half I make 6 dough like you , another half I make 12 ball fill with frozen cream cheese , it turn out perfect . Thanks again Apron ! Your recipe the best

This recipe is really good, the bagels are tasty. While still warm, I tried it plain and with cream cheese, delish..I need more pactice in shaping them haha I’ve sprinkled sesame seeds to 3 of them, the rest just plain

I made them right away. Perfect. Had to hand kneed guessing the time.👌 Now my son and husband want to add seeds, etc. I love them just the way they are.

If u add seeds, don’t add them in the dough, add the seeds only on top of the bagel

Great that you proof the dough without using plastic wrap. You are saving the planet. Love it! But you then spoil it by covering the dough balls with plastic...use a clean towel..you know it makes sense.

I did this recipe today. It tasted good and looked beautiful, and was easy enough. Thank you! But I boiled the dough longer than the time as in the instructions and the bagels were chewy! Hehe... So I should seriously stick to the instructions in this video next time!

Actually chewy texture is the real thing, it suppose to be chewy but these day ppl prefer soft bagel I guess

I just attended a class on enriched dough. The instructor had us bring raw dough home, to make our own, or her, recipe (cheesy garlic rolls, monkey bread, or pecan twist sun loaf). I think I’m going to make bagels with my dough!

Call me lazy but why not just jab your thumb thru the dough ball to create the hole? I get that "artisian" bagel places probably frown upon it, but would it change the texture much? I'm making this now and kind of lost my momentum waiting for the dough to rise lol

I tried it. It came out good but the only problem I had was I used parchment paper when I baked it so the paper got stuck u underneath the bagel. I don't have any tray, just used the oven tray.

For americans..she has the sugar amount wrong in the recipe. If you make them with that much sugar they will taste like cookies. 10g of sugar is not even 1 Tblsp of sugar.

Hi, grams is based on weight and teaspoon is based on volume. Each ingredient have different densities the volume is going to be different,if there are discrepancies suggested in grams

Do you bake the bagel straight away after we parboil them in the sugar water? In my previous experience, the bagel tend to stick on the pan after baking when I take the bagel out from the water. Do i need to oil the pan before baking?

I used the parchment paper from the proof. I baked them right away. Turned out great. Came off paper just fine.

I'm making them now. I'm using a bread maker to knead the dough with the cover up. The dough is so sticky. ☹️ Why is this so? I followed the recipe exactly.
