Yeah, the can art is always awesome! The description did sound good, and while this was tasty, I definitely wish the maple came through. Cheers, brother!
I would probably like that beer. Speaking of maple 🍁 in beers my favorite beer of all time is founders better half which is 10 out of 10. I still got 2 bottles left cheers 🍻
That beer is up there as one of my favorites, as well. That would make for a fun livestream: favorite maple beers, or a maple beer tier list. Maybe at some point. Not sure what would win, though, haha! I hope you enjoy those final two bottles at some point. Cheers, Billy!
Yeah, they used to have the taproom there, but they shut it down and now just contract brew at 12 Percent. I enjoy their beers, but have never been blown away by one. This was very good, though. Cheers, man!
I will take cinnamon and vanilla over pumpkin any day. Im not big on pumpkin anymore cause almost no one does it right. “OOH THERES CHILI PEPPERS.” I love that! Love dark chocolate, i get what youre putting down about the body
I still love my pumpkin beers, but you have to wade through a bunch of mediocre ones to get to the good ones. A lot of them just use pumpkin spice -- and don't even brew with any kind of real pumpkin -- so they're not truly pumpkin beers. This was quite tasty, though. Drank like a Mexican Imperial Stout, for sure. Cheers again, buddy!
I can see that, Rodney. For me, I wanted MORE maple from that beer. Felt it was lacking as a whole. Wasn't crazy sweet, but maybe it's good I didn't get a ton of maple in that one. Who knows, haha! Cheers, man!
Nice review. One of the stores where I get beer has that one. If that beer is there I will have to try it. Would some of the heat you are getting from the pepper be a little pepper and alcohol?
Thanks, man! The heat was definitely coming from the peppers. It was that certain type of chili pepper heat where it stings the back of the throat. Very unmistakable, at least for me. I was surprised at how well-hidden the alcohol was, as a whole. Cheers!
I can't remember a maple syrup brew that I actually got maple flavor from unless it seemed like fake maple. Sounds decent enough that I would buy it.......even though the name sounds like one of those disgusting donut beers Cheers Joe
The name is definitely not a good indication of the ingredients, I totally agree! For me, I've had some awesome maple beers. They age poorly most of the time, though. I will say that I'd love to make a maple beer tier list. Would be fun. Not sure which are my favorites. Cheers, Jesse!
