All things considered, they Dragonborn player goes through two acts without interacting with another of their kind. It's probably honey to their ears being called that by a fellow lol.
I know this is unrelated but I love your dragonborn’s design, most of the dragonborns I’ve seen have been very flashy and colorful, with huge horns, and while I do love those, I absolutely adore the calmer earthy tones and lack of horns on your character
The I recommend you like at the copper dragonborn colors. While some are big and bright I found one that is dark with little lines of blue and it has a cool effects with some of the face and horn options
I like the ones with the frills (the fin crest) I didn’t know the durge was a white Dragonborn tho and accidentally made a normal Dragonborn that looks very similar to the durge xdd
“Karshoj arnahk!” would roughly translate to “Fucking *quiet*!” In this case, I think. While arnahk doesn’t have a clear translation, Karshoj is a sort of invective in draconic the same way “fucking” is used as an invective in english.
It's not super uncommon for languages to have different invectives. In Swedish, the closest approximate for "fucking" in that sense would be "jävlar/jävla", meaning "of the devil" or "devil's". We obviously have a word that fits the verb "fucking" but it cannot be used outside of that sort of context. The opposite applies to jävlar. It is particularly funny how it trips up machine translators though. I've received plenty of emails with supposed lonely housewives wanting to "fuck with" me.
@@lelandrb Do I understand it? Yes. Dragonborn are supposed to be somewhat rare, even if they're widely accepted. That doesn't mean I don't want more Dragonborn though
Not sure what it is about Dragonborn and hats. It just works. Went Dragonborn on my second playthrough a looted a hat as soon as I got out of the Nautaloid, haven't had head without one since.
The Coldbrim Hat looks so fucking rad on a Dragonborn that I wore it like 75% of the game even though all it did was a tiny ice spell buff, haha. Very 1990s Undertaker in WWF
I find it funny and weird that out of all the footage of Baldur's Gate 3 I've seen, and at this point it's a significant amount, I've only seen hats on Draconic characters (dragonborn and kobolds).
I'm so glad Larian didn't make Dragonborn and Kobolds speak/sound different from everyone else. I was scared they'd make them, kobolds especially, have broken up speech, and sound more like monsters than people who speak the same language as you
Could just be that dragonian is different enough from common that you get an accent. Unless you've been immersed in Common-speaking culture for long enough to hide it. So Kobolds that lived in say, a temple to Bahamut together with other races might speak common like normal people, but kobolds in a cave in a wood where nobody goes anyway would speak common like a drunk pole trying to speak Chinese. (He took a duolingo course for three days.) He might get by, but he'll sound very strange to the cantonese speaker, who's doing his best.
You know I want to mention a cartoon Conan the Adventurer. It's not about dragons, but serpent men. They're half-dragons, half-human that have illusion magic to disguise as humans. Even that in my native language in both form they soundvthe same in original english they as serpent men they sound weird and every serpent men have the same voice. I was a little dissapointed, because I would rather want that they sound the same than with weird voice and everyone would have the same voice.
No. No. No, you mistook the Lady's words. She told you to GET ON someone named Holiday. Now Holiday is waiting for you to get on her, so is thr Lady and her new fiance. ...It's a group activity. Now, open the door.
The youtube algorithm seems to be tracking my in game progress, cuz whenever i go through an encounter in game, within the hour i'll find a video of the same in my recommendeds
While I like this exchange I do gotta ask if all her staff has been sent on holiday why is he still being a doorman?? Like when I'm given time off from my work I don't then go to my job and do it for free?? My guy needs to chill out and go for a walk in one of the parks or something.
It's normally just labeled as "old floppy hat" which you can find anywhere but this one is special labeled as "jannaths hat" which you can find inside one of the locked vaults in the bank during act 3
he spoke draconic very well awesome language draconic wish i could speak it my soul is part dragon i like having nice things like art or legos i hoard those hehe
i love every Dragonborn / Dragonborn dialogue in this game, i wish there were other Dragonborn in previous chapters so we could have more of these nice conversations
Not thaaat weird. Dragonborn aren't really very common in the sword coast. Few and far between. They mostly live in a singular country in Faerun, or on another continent. Running into one while traveling along the Chionthar is very unlikely. But Act 3 is in Baldur's Gate proper, a huge dock city. If you're going to meet dragonborn on the sword coast, it's where you'd do it.
