Made these on Wednesday; used walnuts instead of chocolate chips. The muffins came out sooo moist and light. Had them as a morning snack for road trip. My sorority sisters LOVED THEM!!
Hi Laura, I just wanted to comment that I have tried two recipes of yours so far. First was the penne vodka that was an absolute favorite at a family BBQ.. and now I just made these banana muffins and I can finally say SUCCESS!!! You have no idea how many banana-anything recipes I tried and everything was a fail. I've tried many breads and muffins and they would always come out super dense and raw inside... I would be so upset. Finally, I tried your recipe and I knew they would come out perfectly. They are perfectly cooked inside, I can't believe I thought something was wrong with my oven.. (or my baking skills haha)! Thanks so much! I can trust all your recipes!
Made these today and now eating them......they are so good and moist. I used Sunflower oil as the oil ingredient. ♥ Laura is right....adding that 1/4 tsp cinnamon to the mixture made all the difference...the muffin has that tint of cinnamon taste. love it.
Just made them with gluten free all purpose flour, and they are super delicious!! Thank you Laura my kids love you!! They always ask me to make Laura Vitale food!!

I've made these muffins before once and used the same ingredients that she used except I didn't use any cinnamon. But after mine were baked, I decided to try one and it tasted.....ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! So tasty and light! I used Lindt chocolate in replacement of regular chocolate chips, canola oil instead of vegetable oil and I added a sugar, cinnamon and butter topping which was amazing. I cooked mine for about 21 minutes at 400° and it yielded 11 muffins.

I love this recipe, but shook it up a little as I wanted more of a breakfast muffin, than a sweet snack one, so took out the choc chips and replaced them with walnut chunks and sultanas. Amazing. Thanks for the inspiration laura, you really are awesome.
I just made a batch of these with yogurt added and slightly frozen bananas instead. It's unbelievably soft and chocolately with the beautiful smell of bananas! Thanks for the recipe!

I made this muffins 1 hour ago and let me tell you.... They are a total success!!!!! Great recipe!!! Because where I live the air feels pretty dry I reduced the amount of flour on the recipe and voila!!!
Made these but used slightly less oil (maybe 1/8 cup less), slightly more sugar (about 1/8 cup more), and used a little over 1/2 a cup of chopped walnuts to go alone with 1/2 cup of semi-sweet choc chips. Came out excellent.
Thanks Laura for the recipe. I tried it and it came out great. I love it more because you used oil instead of butter which is healthy and easier as well because with butter you have to plan in advance and leave it out for hours to come to room temperature. Great recipe!!! Big Thanks

I just made these, and though I'm not fond of banana bread I do like these. Not too sweet, nice balance of banana and chocolate, and super moist. But then, every recipe of Laura's I've tried has turned out well.

There were 3 ripe bananas in my kitchen so when I saw this recipe I knew I had to make these. But I used white chocolate cause that's what I had on hand. They turned out great! I'm sure they'll taste even better with semi sweet chocolate chips.

Just made these, literally took them out of the oven 5 minutes ago. Really yummy and easy to make! I'll just say: make sure you use milk chocolate and not semi sweet (like I did) or they may not be sweet enough...or you could add a little more sugar.

Oh my God!! I made them today! And the texture is so amazing! They're so soft! And I was very surprised because it's not heavy at all! Oh, and of course they taste delicious! This is definitely the best recipe including muffins and bananas together!! My entire family loved it!! xx
This is my go-to recipe for banana chocolate chip muffins. Some substitutions I make is put half coconut sugar and brown sugar instead of regular sugar and instead of oil I put butter.
