I would ilterally just play Monkey Ball for iPhone FOR THIS SONG ALONE. The game was incredibly frustrating, but the song was so good I didn't even care, lol.

It wasn't, but it borrows the same samples that Raisin' Me Up used in Sonic Rush.

Naganuma is always ahead of time.

Way more of a 90s dance throwback. Sega music always so lively and fun like that era of dance.

Stages in order are Smooth Sherbet 5 Pirate's Ocean 2 Space Case 4 Controls are tight Deaths felt justified 1UPs at 20 Bananas Graphics are gorgeous 2 songs are reused from MB3D due to licensing issues. Pirates Ocean has World 4 Bananightmare. Space Case has White Cliffs from Monkey Fight. The $40 price seems more reasonable now.

That's because Hideki Naganuma doesn't adhere to the customs of Japanese corporations, despite being Japanese himself. Japanese corporations lay claim to the works of outsourced contributors, and Naganuma considers his work to be owned by him and him alone, only licensed for use by others. He's very liberal with letting his work being used, as long as he retains the rights, so when things like this come up, it's a simple matter of signing off on re-crediting where he has already been paid for his work.

Shame the HD remake's soundtrack is straight up pants. I would've bought the game had they given us the option to use the original soundtrack or just had someone do covers of the songs, I would've been fine with that. Instead we got an ill-fitting soundtrack that destroyed the atmosphere. Not going to support that.

No I was just listening to Monkey Ball music. But, search "Raisin' Me Up - Sonic Rush". It uses the same vocals. And the backing track is from Sonic Rush but I can't remember where yet :p edit: Ok, it also uses parts from "What U Need - Sonic Rush "

Banana Blitz and Sonic Rush both have the Same Composer, Hence why they sounded so familiar. :P

Console games are pretty well known for great music. Games like Jet Set Radio on Sega Dreamcast and Sonic Rush on Nintendo DS were *loaded* with music like this, as Sega brought on a composer by the name of Hideki Naganuma to create music for the aforementioned games. As for different musical generes, Nintendo's been hugely into jazz over the past decade, with the two most recent mainline games in the Mario series (Super Mario 3D World on Nintendo Wii U and Super Mario Odyssey on Nintendo Switch) having tons of big-band jazz music. And then there was the time Nintendo had a phase of full orchestral scores on the Nintendo Wii with games like Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Console gaming is quite the art form, and like other forms of entertainment such as movies/books, it's great to find a video game series that has exactly what you seek, whether it's great gameplay, an immersive story, lively music, a cinematic presentation, or multiplayer experience.
