These muffins take my favorite banana bread and chocolate chip muffins and mash them together to create the most delicious breakfast or snack. Not only will these muffins have your home smelling incredible but they are made using the simplest pantry ingredients and take no time at all to whip up. There’s nothing better than a freshly baked warm banana muffin with oozing melted chocolate chips served with a glass of milk, tea, or coffee, they are just so good!

My sweet grandma only ate overripe bananas. I remember her squeezing almost completely black bananas and saying, “almost ripe.” I miss her so much!

I tried these as a young baker, and when I tell you these aren’t anything you’ve had before, I mean it. The folding technique is the secret to fluffy, soft cakes. Don’t forget to sieve all your dry ingredients for that silky texture. If you’re debating whether to make these, go for it!

I made these muffins yesterday with half the amount of sugar and 2 tablespoons of powdered stevia sweetener instead. I also used wholegrain wheat flour, because I only had that one at home. They turned out great and still moist the next day! I'm sure the flour folding technic is the key, because I have never made such fluffy, airy muffins as these! Thank you for recipe, I will definitely try the others too!

Just wanted to say, as a home baker it's so nice to see someone include 'mistakes' while baking. So many times I've run short of batter following recipes so seeing you do something similar makes me feel better and also explains what could have been missing.

I was initially gonna make these four days ago but decided to wait a couple days to let my bananas ripen further (the best decision ever) and I made them today. I gotta say these taste better than anything I’ve ever made or had from the stores y’all better make these if u wanna asCeNd .. also the banana and chocolate smell is making my house smell like a bakery and I’m not complaining

Just made these ! They were AMAZING! instead of 3/4 cup of sugar I add 1/2 cup of brown sugar and they tasted perfect ! (As the rest of the sweetness comes from the bananas) totally recommend this recipe !! 😃

I wish there was an option of uploading a pic in the youtube comment section because I made these today and they came out so beautiful, delicious, nicely moist, and everything I could have ever wanted from muffins! I also added cinnamon in dry ingredients and it also gave a good kick to the flavor! To anyone wondering if it's worth wasting your time - absolutely it is.

I made them today. It was super quick and easy to make and they were just perfect. I used some frozen bananas I put in the freezer few days ago. So yummy. This is the 4th baking recipe I tried from your channel. As usual another perfect recipe. Thank you so much!

I just made them! They are so amazing! I put ALMOST the whole bag of chocolate chips, and I don’t recommend it. If you LOOOOVE chocolate and won’t get sick of it, then I think you should put the whole bag. But there was just so much chocolate and I wish that I put like half of the bag instead, so that the banana and cake would stand out more.

These banana chocolate chip muffins came out AHMAZINGGG! Super light and fluffy. I substituted the white sugar for brown sugar + cane sugar and reduced the quantity to approx 1/3cups. Just the right amount of sweetness for me. I also used 1/3 cups of dark chocolate chips too. Lots of love and appreciation from Malaysia 🇲🇾

I always begin with 2 cups of flour for all of my muffin recipes for exactly 12 muffins. I live a mile above sea level so the extra flour works out great for some scientific reason. I tweak the other ingredients just a tad and the muffins rise to high heaven and are absolutely beautiful and delicious. I also use coconut sugar which is a lot better then white sugar, Other than this I follow your recipe and have never been disappointed. Thank you for sharing.

Made these today, and OH MY GOD, they truly are the best chocolate chip banana muffins! I substituted the white sugar for brown and reduced it to 100g but it was sweet enough for me :) Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! Always love watching your videos!! Hi Chef John 😊 I made both your muffin recipes yesterday. This one (Banana Chocolate Chip muffins) and the ( Oatmeal ) version. The Banana chocolate chip was super delicious and my sister loved it too, got 9 muffins. This is the recipe I will follow from now on. As for the Oatmeal version, I found it a little much oats for my liking but it was a nice recipe too, got 12 muffins. Next time, I'll reduce the oats and add some raisins. I made these yesterday and I'm very happy with the result! They have been a bit too sweet for me (even if I already skipped some "sugar" from the recipee) Because I'm on a keto diet I substituted sugar with erythritol and the wheat flour for almond, coconut and hazelnut flour and some oat bran! Then I "needed" to decorate them and I felt peanut butter was missing in this recipee. so I mede my own first improvised frosing using peanut butter, cocoa butter, coconut cream, crem cheese and confeccionated erythritol and It worked very well! Amazing! Thaaank yooou! I know banana is not very Keto-friendly, but I got 6 muffins and I used 2 bananas, so there is 1/3 banana in each one, that's not too bad!
