Quick fix for your gas barbecue grill that has a low flame or no flame at all. A bad regulator could be the problem if you reset it and it still does not work.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1000s of parts on Amazon...
New replacement regulator:
amzn.to/2fumTNx --------- BBQ Regulator
New replacement burners:
amzn.to/2vgs6zu -------- New replacement burners
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When the regulator gets old it stops working. Don't throw out that grill just yet. Just change the gas regulator and your grill will be back working like a charm.
You can replace the propane tank regulator for your bbq barbeque grill and fix the low or no flame problem you are experiencing. I changed the gas regulator on this barbecue in less than 10 minutes. You can buy a universal gas regulator at Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, or even Walmart for less than $20.00.
Don't throw away your bbq grill just yet! Replace your regulator first and see if that fixes the problem.

Thank you from Canada, Jake. Your video saved me when I was on the verge of chucking a BBQ we inherited with a house move. The new regulator made it new again! I'm thrilled!

Thank you so much for this video. I hadn’t used my grill for two years because the burner was rusted out. After putting in a new burner and connected a new tank there was nothing. I’m anxious to get this going again. Now I can fix the problem!😋

Thank you for posting. Getting ready to replace my regulator. You may have saved me a big headache when you showed lubricating and using two wrenches on the inside fitting! Mine is a $2,000.00 barbecue. A Bull Angus model.

I have a uniflane 300 and something dollar grill that I bought back in 2009 and have not used it for over 4 years because it was covered and stored away and then I started using a charcoal grill well I miss the convenience of a gas grill. Long story short, I finally brought my gas grill out of retirement and inspected it to find out exactly what I may or may not need. All the parts that I needed or should I say and wanted to replace I had either just started to replace before it retired or I knew that I needed new stuff but didn't want to worry with it. I know it's only a 300 and something dollar grill but I was looking at some grills compared to the one that I actually have and they're $500 plus for something comparable. I then proceeded to go online using Amazon to find replacement parts. I had found everything I needed on Amazon This includes, new gas burners new gas ceramic igniters new gas flare shields in stainless steel new stainless steel grates heavy duty and when I ordered all of that stuff I installed it and no spark so I figured let's check the battery since how it's been in there so long. The battery had leaked so I figured the actual spark control unit sort of speak was bad. I ordered another one and installed it and voila I have spark now. I even ordered a new cover and used barbecue high temp paint too restore the look of my grill and it looks phenomenal. Well last night I was thinking about cooking on my barbecue grill but I did not think about testing out the flames first which leads me to my point. I found out the regulator was bad so I went to Lowe's and bought a Char-Broil regulator it was $24.99 plus tax and came home, installed it and she is alive again beautiful blue flames and it just brought back memories. When people watch this video he gives helpful tips on how to change out your hose and regulator which my regulator was bad and it was very easy to figure out because it has a pinhole on the side of the regulator that regulates the pressure and if the pressure is messed up in some way because of maybe the diaphragm inside the regulator which in my case was bad it was pouring propane out of that little bleed valve and I can smell it so strong and I could feel the air coming out. Just a little tip to also help know if your regulator is bad for anybody who is reading this very long comment. My total for everything in replacement was around $100 which was only a fraction of what a new one would cost compared to my old grill. Thank you for taking the time to Read this. God bless you all and happy grilling.❤

Do you have a video on how to replace the knobs on this grill? Have you ever changed or adjusted one because it got loose?

ALWAYS 'burp' the regulator before replacing it!

Turning on the propane very slowly is the key. If you turn it on too quickly it trips the safety switch inside the regulator and you’ll get no flame or low flame.

You should have first checked to see if the regulator just needed to be purged (before replacing it).

Wonder why any gas at all would flow if it thinks there's a leak? I thought if the regulator trips it would completely shut off?

Sometimes the propane freezes the regulator just unhook for 5 mins and re hook up after it defrosts

Hello, how long do these regulators last, in general? My bbq is 5 years old, and when I put it away for the winter last November, it was working fine. In the spring, I tried to start the bbq, but even though the igniter clicked, there was no flame. As well, when I turned the burners on and tried to light it with a match, it would not start. I'm convinced it's the regulator. Any recommendations?

I own a top-of-the-line Jenn-Air and my regulator began failing after only 5 years as well. It worked, but the flame was weak (little pressure) and was actually leaking propane gas at the regulator which is by design due to the regulator not functioning properly, if that makes sense. You can pick up a generic, propane take regulator and hose at Lowes or Home Depot for $20-$30, depending on certain factors. I ordered my replacement regulator from a certified Jenn-Air dealer. Please avoid using a high-pressure regulator as BBQ grills are not designed to handle high-volume burn rates. You’ll see some clowns on YT showing you how to install one on your grill for a better searing flame. You’re asking for trouble with potential injury or even death. Be safe! Hire a licensed plumber to help you if you’re not comfortable doing this yourself.

"When resetting does not work"? What does that mean? You didn't try to reset anything.
@gilguzman8359
@gilguzman8359 4 года назад
Scott Matthew Actually, resetting the regulator means turning off the valve at the tank, removing the regulator hose from the tank allowing pressure to escape in the regulator hose, then reattaching it to the tank. To properly operate a propane tank, you first open the valve about a quarter turn to allow propane to fill the air in the regulator. You don’t want to open the tank valve all the way as that causes a rush of propane into the regulator which will stress-out the regulator and over time, it’ll start to not function properly or fail. Once you’ve purged the regulator hose with propane, you can then open the valve all the way. That’s the proper way to reset and operate a BBQ grill.
