I think that's in part because there's nothing for him by betraying them, and because he sincerely agrees with their mission. I mean, the guy singlehandedly ended one Hydra's key projects by killing the Winter Soldiers. Then he almost made sure that no more super soldiers could be made by crushing all the vials (except one, unfortunately). He also shows remorse for his actions, which is rare from a villian. Shift the focus just a bit, and he could be a hero.
@@lucasrodillo6739 the only reason he was ever evil was because the Avengers destroyed his country. If they helped rebuild Sokovia instead of just leaving, he wouldn't have become bad-
What I love about Zemo that makes him my favorite MCU villain is how effortlessly he breezes through any situation. No matter how much the odds are stacked against him he seems to always be enjoying the moment while thinking two steps ahead of everyone else.
And at the same time, the scariest and coolest part of him is that hes just a really smart guy with money, no superpowers or anything. And just With that he dismantled the avengers
@@azariabronton8821 yes but he is extremely smart, never raises his voice and just in general he is a gentlemen. And he is damn attractive if I'm allowed to say so. I bet he is very loving and gentle with people he likes. Ofcourse he is a killer and what he has done in the past was horrible but I can see his point and understand why he did it. That makes him one of the best villains in the marvel movies
@@weegee_darthno4045 If you wanna go deeper, that is technically Ultron's fault, or deeper, Tony's fault, or even deeper, Loki, for bringing the scepter, or wait, it's actually Thanos all along.
he teamed up with Sam and Bucky because he agreed on what they were to doing at the time, and it’s basically him caring out his plan: to end the Super Soldiers, to destroy the serum. and when I say he’s one of the smartest MCU character, I said it with my whole lungs - argue to the wall
@@toragic3432 Thing is that Tony, Banner , Pym , etc. have a different type of smarts. They are academic and intelectual geniuses. Zemo has a high understanding of things, but i doubt is on that level. However , he possesses street analytical and strategical smarts, beyond any of the characters you've mentioned. Kinda like Tony and the others are the type of kid who would build a PC out of nowhere, but Zemo is the kid who's the chess master.
@@santiagoz.s.1024 exactly. Baron zemo is more of a manipulator, a true puppet master. Tony, banner, pym, approach things head on with science and creates contingency plans according to what they know. They are not natural tacticians. The only hero who approaches problems like zemo is strange, and he uses the time stone to do most of his work. Zemo calculates how people will behave and acts according to them. Make no mistake, he is imprisoned because he wants to be. He will be playing wakanda to his advantage when he makes his next appearance.
My Dad: DID YOU LEARN NOTHING FROM THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE?!?! Me: Turkish delight is so good that it's worth betraying your family and principals and get kidnapped by a witch?
Zemo actually is really funny in this haha...the head tilt line was the funniest of the whole series. "Don't do it. He's just going to extort you and do that stupid head tilt thing" (Zemo realizes he is doing that exact thing and straightens his head after hit eyes looking towards Falcon) LOL that was so funny. It was similar to Bucky' staring thing for the first half of the season.
@@Obliterace I mean a good long time butler essentially dedicates his life to support a family or just his employer in every way possible. They would grow close.
2:33 why did I think when I saw that scene that he was going to say: "But I like it." instead of "But I get it." That would of been way funnier in my opinion.
I think the reason I never really was fond of Zemo is because we never saw much of him. We got a sad backstory about his villain motives, but even then they rarely showed him. I'm glad we got to see more of him in this show! He is now one of my favorite villains!
So that's why loki is loved and ZEMO is being loved..... Their mixture interesting behaviour..... I loved loki, bucky and zemo ever since I first saw them
0:01 If Zemo was a real person, I like to see his score in any intelligence test. Zola’s algorithm likely predicted that Zemo was Extremely dangerous, especially since he easily broke out of prison with little assistance.
Zemo is an analytical mastermind of control and has power in his thought but is also a valuable and capable fighter. He only separated avengers due to the negligence they had over not helping out nor stopping the death of his family and containing their fight, which was caused due to instability among the avengers which made iron man create Ultron that failed, it wasn't on tony necessarily, he just happened to be the one smart enough with the thought of Ultron. Zemo didn't think they could have the power they had asa avengers which he was right about with how they were back then so he separated them and in endgame it made them more powerful and valuing of each other. He's not constructed or without thought in a bias such as assuming the supremacy kid would grow into something due to being younger, that she was already developed and her younger age was just a discomfort for Sam.
A good MCU villain is given a back story, a point they spiral usually blinded by grief, anger etc., proper motivations and most importantly morals and swag. Let's face it, it captivates us because we just want to know what they'll do next.
