For those not on the Instagam or Facebook page here's a brief update of where we're at with the boat progress. It's startling to look like a boat! Well, a strange boat.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I can't wait for the first video, featuring the new boat!!! Hope everything works out well, and you guys have an awesome adventure to share with us. Don't listen to ANY of the discouraging comments from anyone and, continue building the boat YOU want. We'll be waiting for the updates and videos.
Don't get me wrong, the cabin is awesome & coming along nicely but the aluminum is going to radiate a lot of heat while you're in the sun. I'd give some thought to coating the exterior with a thermal barrier like Cool Coat and adding a layer of insulation on the inside. Walmart sells Cool Coat for $63 a gallon and Sherwin Williams also makes a thermal barrier paint.
@Dankater Munson Thank you Dank. I always wondered what the trolls who follow Steve and dislike his videos looked like. I don't know who is being milked but I haven't spent a dime watching vids on YT. Since I use ABP I don't even see the ads. Maybe that word 'milked' doesn't mean what you think it means.
Awesome vid! I thought you were building a space craft or moon base laboratory or something. That is impressive! Can't wait to see what the boat is like - I can't even really imagine what it will be like. Just a really impressive looking project there!
@@campingwithsteve They really do, no matter who you are. I remember an episode where you were really down on yourself because of the negative comments people would leave you, and it crushed me as well to see how much they really got to you, because they would me also. So, I was so happy to see this comment from a fellow viewer/hopeful subscriber, I had to say something. Because you are a wonderful person, and you're only looking to do what you're passionate about, and there are always, unfortunately, going to be some, shall we be kind I suppose, and just say idiots and or trolls, waiting to "prey" on such kind people, like yourself. You've come a long way, and I know that we too, always enjoy watching your next adventures! Best of luck and wishes in all you do. 🥂🤗☺️ Cheers from Pennsylvania! Stay safe and stay clear from the wildfires!
that is AWESOME! seriously way beyond what I was expecting. you basically went into a sign shop and had them make you fully custom aluminum boat body, how cool is that, very talanted people involved in this one. hopefully it has been a fun project for everyone involved.
Love the videos as always Steve! My only suggestion to the boat would be do something about those corners on the boat! Either during fab work or after with adhesive rounded corners or something. The 2nd time you walked by the back right corner it was eye/forehead height from my point of view. So I would hate to see you have too many step two’s or friends and accidentally nail one of those corners. Hope things are well in your neck of the woods! Keep up the great content!
THANK YOU STEVE For bringing So Much HOPE to Humanity. In these difficult times you & Glenn have been such a BRIGHT SHINY LIGHT of INSPIRATION, JOY & GOOD TIMES❣🍻🥂 Sending Great Gratitude & Appreciation, Big Blessings & LOVE, Many Mercies & Compassion and All the Luck & Joy🍀✌🏽❤🙏🇨🇦May All be Free from Suffering
Its great to see some good news from Canada. That's a serious looking wheelhouse, I'm looking forward to seeing you on the water. All the best from Sheringham in England.
I was just watching your last boat trip and was hoping we would see an update! Amazing. Thanks Steve for the inspiration and content you bring, I can't tell you how much it helps.
Awesome Stuff !! I can't wait ! I heard Tom Green bought 100 acres up in Canada and sold is house in the states... you need to stealth camp in his forrest --- at leats a colab or him allowing you to camp out there- he seems super Jolly. All the best as always to the best !!
Boat is looking great! I love this build so much, I can't wait to see it finished and on the river! I imagine you're adding quite a bit of weight compared to the old wood frame. Are you adjusting the position of the barrels at all so it has a wider footprint for better balance?
